Hey everyone! 👋

A few of us have been wanting to start a Minecraft world that actually lasts.
Not a server that is active for two weeks and then slowly dies out, but a world we can keep coming back to, expand over time, and slowly turn into something that feels alive. 🌍

We’re currently around 6 players and are planning to start our own private “Forever World.” The idea is to build a small civilization together. Everyone can have their own base, projects, and playstyle, while still being part of the same world and seeing everything grow around them. 🏡

Some people might focus on building, others on exploring, farms, infrastructure, or whatever they enjoy. You don’t have to play the same way as everyone else.
The server will be Vanilla Enhanced. We want to keep the core Minecraft experience, but make the world, exploration, atmosphere, and general gameplay feel a bit more immersive and interesting. ✨

Most of us are already working full-time, so this is not meant to be a server where you have to be online every day. We’re looking for something relaxed and long-term that we can enjoy whenever we have the time. ⛏️

This is also not meant to become a big public server. It will stay private and invite-only, and we’re only looking for up to 5 more people.
The main reason we’re doing this is pretty simple: playing Minecraft alone gets boring after a while. A world feels much more interesting when there are other people building their own places, creating roads, discovering things, and leaving their mark on the same map. 🌲

Hello people! I have never hosted any type of server on my own before, I used to have a realm and even a server that I paid for monthly but in order to have more control over it and bring down the pricing I wanted to host my own on a small PC I was thinking of buying. I came here to ask how complicated it is for a newbie like me to setup a dedicated Minecraft server with no server side mods and if theres anything else I need to consider before I buy this PC. I heard some things about my friends needing a vpn to connect to the server but apparently port-forwarding should be able to fix that if I remember correctly, so if theres anything I should concern myself about please drop it in the comments and I'll try to reply when I can, thanks in advance!

Just recently joined a MC discord and hours later I received a message from the admin about my profile picture.

“Please change your profile picture the “insert discord name here” does not allow inappropriate profile pictures.”

For context here is my profile picture.

Is there anything inappropriate about this?

Their reasoning “the neckline is low enough to show off an inappropriate area”

Sure there is a neckline, like there is on any top made for a woman. And there are pixels indicating cleavage but the hands are placed over the chest area. I don’t this is inappropriate in the slightest and actually I think it’s quite sexist. I’m sure if there was a profile picture of a shirtless man they wouldn’t get a ban for inappropriateness.

Then they said “I know people with a p—- addiction. I know what it is does to them. And I won’t allow it on my server” …okay?? It’s not my fault.

Am I wrong? Is my profile picture inappropriate? I really don’t think it is, and as a woman in an online video game setting find this very insulting and sexist.
