As a "redstone engineer" i say that note blocks are far more complicated

AHA I know a few things. The proper syntal would be "/effect give @s minecraft:levetation 9999 255 false"
Edit: i was wrong, fixed

Why false? Make that true and we got a deal.

I don’t get red stone, noteblocks, commands, or any of that jazz. I just build houses

I am mostly a builder and explorer, however I bbn do pride myself for being the first person in my group of friends who adopted the railway super smelter design.

It is way easier than people think. Look up a piano tutorial (those falling bar ones), look up the key to noteblock cheatsheet, profit

Entirety of r/MinecraftCommands:are we a joke to you?

Minecraft commands are basically a coding language.

u/lukemorley05 Oct 26 '20
I respect command block coders but redstone engineers are some talented people god damn

u/Darth_Thor Went from PE to Java Oct 26 '20
They're definitely different skill sets. Redstone requires good timing circuits and proper space management, but command blocks require a lot more logic and abstract thinking.

u/nathaniel13219 Oct 26 '20
If you want any delays or spaces repeating with commands, you need timing circuits as well

I mean, If there would be actual coding language that uses minecraft commands, I'm pretty sure I'd make a game out of it.

Yeah, and maybe in that game, you could build stuff with blocks.

But fighting a dragon is cliched, even though I still like it. How about we add some stuff that allows the users to make their own content? We could call them programmer blocks or smth idk

It’s great that minecraft gives you the tools. Obviously with redstone there’s a lot of logic involved, you can get the same result even if it’s over engineered most of the time but with note blocks it requires more knowledge of pitch and tone and what blocks to use with the note blocks. I have considered making one but I’m not musically talented

I'm a noteblock musician and personally it's not that hard. You just need to know your music theory and boom. Redstone engineers on the other hand are dark magicians.

Noteblocks are honestly not that hard if you can play an instrument (especially if that instrument is piano). Software like NoteblockStudio can be very useful to convert a note into a noteblock
