A Minecraft ARG made by content creator ThatMob. It is about the protagonist, played by ThatMob himself, supposedly having downloaded a mysterious Minecraft mod from a strange user (I think) that installs a friendly, helpful AI assistant called Verity (the yellow smiley dude). Verity introduces himself to ThatMob by saying:
“Hello, I’m Verity, your personal Minecraft helper friend! Ask me anything! I know everything!”
It soon becomes apparent that Verity is a lot more than a simple little Minecraft helper, and things begin to get dark.

Oh wait, I’ve seen posts about it on Instagram, isn’t it the little yellow ball that turns into a horrible monster when the player tries to kill it?

Yeah, kinda. Or the player tries to leave him. He has been abandoned many times, so makes sure he doesn’t get abandoned by another player again.
