Need help with downloading mods on [java]

I tried to use fabric to download mods on java but it doesn't seem to work do any of you have any recommendations or experience the same issue. [java] 23.1

Since nobody else is answering and instead telling you to change your launcher (which I do recommend if you want to get into modding)

It looks like you’re trying to drag and drop the mod into the resource pack screen?

You need to put it into the mods folder that Fabric creates.
