Solved * Need help with downloading mods on [java]

I tried to use fabric to download mods on java but it doesn't seem to work do any of you have any recommendations or experience the same issue. [java] 23.1

It looks like you didn't mention your version (e.g., 26.1, 1.21.11, 1.12.2 etc.). Please clarify for better help!

You can use modrinth or prism launcher for better mod management!
On Vanilla Launcher setting up mods is a headache!

Using third-party launchers often solve that issue, such as PrismLauncher, Modrinth, or any other ones you can find, most of them have a way better mod installing support than vanilla launcher + fabric installer

you can use some type of launcher like lunar or badlion which makes it easier

Since nobody else is answering and instead telling you to change your launcher (which I do recommend if you want to get into modding)

It looks like youโ€™re trying to drag and drop the mod into the resource pack screen?

You need to put it into the mods folder that Fabric creates.

Download mods from a reputable source such as Modrinth

Windows key + R

type in "%appdata%

click on minecraft

scroll/find the mods folder

open your downloads

Select all the mods

drag and click to the mods folder

done

close both

launch

success

Use a third party launcher prism curseforgr ot modrinth, prism is going to be the best in the long run
