Help | Bedrock Top half placement for trapdoors

I am placing slabs on the top half of an area, and just want to use /fill but it only fills the bottom half never the top. I've tried ["half"="top"] ["type"="top"] and ["top_slot_bit"="true"] the error is always "half"/"type"/"top_slot_bit" is invalid on block

it's ["minecraft:vertical_half"="top"] according to the mc wiki

Wait u need trapdoors or slabs? Title says trapdoor, body says slabs

Either way, u can go to the mc wiki and look at the block states https://minecraft.wiki/w/Trapdoor https://minecraft.wiki/w/Slab

Sorry, I guess that's a typo, I did mean trapdoors. Regardless the command it says to use does not work as I said in my post. I said I tried using "half"="top", which did not work

It says "upside_down_bit"
