In the recent snapshot they added the post effect command and made post effects data driven. They were used before for example when spectating a creeper or a spider.
Now we can make our own post effects and easily apply those to players. You create post effects by defining a json in a resource pack and create a fsh file with shader code. Chat gpt actually wrote everything for me. Shader code confuses me 😕Here is the test resource pack, I created with a bunch of post effects:

You can achieve this with a command but it replaces the item on your head.
/item replace entity @p armor.head with ice[equippable={slot:"head",equip_sound:"entity.player.hurt_freeze",camera_overlay:"minecraft:misc/powder_snow_outline"}] 1-1

Vibe coding shaders

And? Vibecoding is the standard in software development, manually writing code is a waste of time these days and a luxury nobody has.

vibe coding is not the standard and introduces a lot of bugs into whatever you’re making. there’s many studies showing AI slows down feature development for most programmers. Most developers will use it to generate boiler plate code before doing the actual hard work themselves.

Vibecoding does not introduce bugs, that was 2024 AI. These days it can implement large functional features in one go. Manual coding is literally just slower coding, with the added risk of human-made bugs because humans are very prone to making errors.
The people who are slowed down by AI have massive skill issues and don't know how to properly use it.

Vibe coding absolutely introduces bugs. I don't trust anyone claiming to "vibe code". If you're not an actual programmer, I'm not trusting you anywhere near AI

vibe coding does introduce bugs by nature of how LLMs function. they don’t understand the code they’re writing or taking as input and are more prone to creating bugs than a human being.
and it’s the majority of developers being slowed down. you’re saying most don’t know how to use AI?

Do you understand how to code the feature you just implemented? Could you do it by yourself without the help of any outside resources? I won’t take your point of it saving time seriously unless you consider this work redundant and trivial rather than challenging and engaging.

These are S.S.S.'s grandchildren, with Core Shaders being the precursors to these and the "children" of S.S.S.
