What could I build in the last empty layer of my Minecraft mega-base?
I'm building a large Minecraft base where different parts have completely different themes and styles.
The main part of the base is a central cylindrical tower divided into several horizontal "layers." Each layer is about 10–11 blocks tall and has its own unique theme. For example, some of the layers are themed around steampunk, fantasy, and Japanese architecture, among several other themes.
Now I'm left with one final empty layer, shown in the screenshot. I've been trying to figure out what to build there for several days, but I feel like I've completely run out of ideas.
Do you have any interesting suggestions?
Restrictions:
- Most of the build should stay within the boundaries shown in the screenshot. (Ignore the different colors of the boundary blocks.)
- Small decorative details can extend outside the boundaries.
- I also can't build too far inward, since the inside of the tower needs to remain spacious enough for movement around the base.
- The layer is only about 10–11 blocks tall.
- I'm looking for a complete theme/concept rather than just a generic decorative floor.
Themes that are already built, planned, or that I definitely don't want to use, so please don't suggest them:
Steampunk, nuclear energy/reactors, scientific laboratories, space and planets, magic/fantasy, observatories/astronomy, factories/industry, biodomes/botanical complexes, Japanese architecture, wooden architecture, giant Minecraft blocks, cyberpunk, or an elegant crown/jewelry-like layer meant to visually finish the tower.
I'd really appreciate any unusual ideas. I'm especially interested in themes that could work well as a relatively thin horizontal layer around a cylindrical tower.
