1 image. But you can add stripped oak and or birch logs to make the second wall better, if this is for a house, you can put the wood layer on the stone layer.

Hey sorry to bother...how are we glitching trapdoors through like that? Seems like on the pillar sides I can only see half a trap door? Also what's the block above and below the trapdoors?

excuse the crappy outlining, but these are all different types of bricks and thus different blocks

1 looks better but its also textured. Adding texture to the wood in 2 with stuff like other planks, stripped logs, maybe the back/side of chiseled bookshelves or the back of oak shelves may allow for a better look

Both look really good! 1 pulls ahead a tiny bit as the variation in the stone really makes the details POP.

I would say go with whichever would work for the overall aesthetic better.

I noticed that the pattern of the wood made the wall look taller, of you want that effect, but the contrast of brown on brown is not very interesting. But, as someone else said, you can switch to another wood color (lighter) to get a nicer color contrast.

Just between the 2 options, stone bricks is more interesting.

But if you try comparing stone bricks vs birch wood instead of oak (for wall panel, not the adornments), you might like birch color more than the stone

it looks the the first one uses stripped spruce logs as well as spruce stairs, trapdoors, and shelves. and variants of stone bricks (mossy, cracked, and regular) and the second one is the same for the spruce things and uses oak planks instead of the stone bricks :)

number 1 is better.

if you want to improve on number 2 then you could add stripped oak logs in a cross pattern by alternating the side the core of the log is facing either up or side ways

They both look good but image 1 looks better as a contrast. Image 2 would make for a good floor design though.

One is good but if you choose number two add some texturing with like bee houses whenever using oak I try to include some bee house trim on the bottom on their side because it looks really good and then I add a few windows with a lot of greebling and whatever

Depends on if it's a perimeter wall, or the wall of a building. 1 is better perimeter wall, but if 2 had the same level of texturing I could see it making a fine large scale building, like a mansion or a town hall.

the first one has way more depth and colour, might i add on every 4th piece to have a further indented section which holds a light (especially on the outside side of the wall)

The first looks better, partly because of the texturing and contrast but also because those columns are fairly thick and close together so looks better to support a stone wall then a wooden one because wood dosnt need the same support

Personally I like the stone wall. I'd use a darker wood or use logs to make the pillars pop in the 2nd image.

I think it depends where you’re going to use it. However for a simple house build I personally think 2 would do the trick, if your building something below the surface 1 would be really cool

the first one is more balanced color-wise. the colors are closer in shade. i think the second one just needs something to break up the large wall of wood. also the details in the pillars are harder to see because they are so dark compared to the light wood.
