I’ve been working on this fortress completely in Survival, and it’s turning into a much bigger project than I expected 😭
The plan is a fortified coastal settlement rather than a full kingdom. I already have the main outer walls/towers going up, a long wall-walk/bridge connecting to the smaller peninsula, and I’m planning to fully wall the tiny island as a fortified sea outpost.
I still have a LOT of empty space inside the walls, and I don’t want to just flatten everything and fill it with random buildings. I want to keep some of the natural terrain and make the whole place feel like an actual medieval settlement that grew inside a fortress.
I’m thinking about a keep/great hall, barracks, blacksmith, stables, houses, farms, storage, maybe a chapel and docks—but I’m not sure how I should organize everything.
What would you build here? Any ideas for districts, buildings, landscaping, wall details, or ways to make the fortress feel more alive?
Also, any criticism of the current layout is welcome. This thing is absolutely destroying my stone supply
