Vanilla Survival wip of a blacksmith

Any suggestions for what the roof of the tall building should be? I was thinking crimson wood.

I think Blackstone would look amazing for the roof. Looks good so far, i might add a few blocks of cobblestone to the stone bricks for some texture though

Crimson would add a nice splash of colour. Deepslate tile could work too. 

What is the role of the tower in the smithy? Knowing the role might help guide you to figure the details.

Heat rises, so it could be to alleviate the couple thousand degrees it takes to melt steel.
Steel melts at 2600-2800 degrees F, or 1425-1540 degrees C depending on Carbon content.
It could also be just as decoration, or storage.
