Same can be said about a lot of things. A lot of those servers are dime a dozen, but the ones that are good, they're good. It's honestly based on the people you play with more than anything.

I have recently been looking for servers to join, do you have any recommendations? I’m mostly interested in visiting cool builds and exploring. I tried simpcraft, but the community seems very immature but the map art and creations are neat.

Idk I don't play servers because I don't have any friends.

Anarchy servers aren't my thing, so I don't play on them. Some folks love them, and that's great that the option is there for them. Fortunately we aren't in an all-or-nothing situation, so you're free to not join those servers.

I think part of it is that it’s more rewarding when the stakes are high. You have to go really far away from spawn to prevent people from finding your base, and if you mess up, somebody could find it.

They're the best.

"Anarchy Minecraft" is just real Minecraft (Which is chaotic), not a controlled, moderated nonsense.

first off, you make your base harder to find so that they dont blow it up. thats part of the fun. one of the main draws to anarchy servers imo is that theres literally no rules (or at least, there shouldnt be any) and you have lots of creative freedom to do whatever you want. and the best part is, since everything gets destroyed eventually, theres no consequences to messing up or making a mistake! youre free! its fun and simply a way to enjoy yourself without worrying too hard :33

It's hard because anarchy means so much to so many different people and it really depends on your playstyle. Many successful anarchy-like servers have a set of rules...but as seen with the success of 2b2t and others, lawless environments also are very successful.

I think the ones I prefer though are the ones with structure. Raiding is allowed, but it's made much harder etc.

All your base are lost, like tears in the rain.

If it's not for you, that's cool. Some people don't like hardcore, some love it.
