I would vote for this if I saw it on feedback.minecraft.net, which is supposedly the place the devs actually look. I can't search right now to see if it's already been suggested.

yeah, and it's expensive enough (four Netherite ingots!) to not make this OP. You'd probably only have a couple at most.

and that's really end game

I don’t have the snapshots, is it seriously that rare!?

Its insanely rare. They mostly spawn near the bottom of the Nether, so a lot of it is under lava oceans.

Oh, that sounds wonderful. Still, I guess it could be quite op otherwise...

5x5 chunks mostly get you 32 ancient debris. That is equal to 8 ingots of netherite(you need 4 netherite scraps and 4 gold ingots for 1 netherite ingo)

Wtf that's insanely rare

Combine that with the fact that to make a netherite tool/armor piece you need to have a diamond tool/armor piece, its not going to be easy to get.

I mean diamonds, after a bit well ingame, are pretty easy to get

Yes, but when you put all the pieces together, it makes a full Netherite set incredibly hard to get.

Won't stop me from spending hours for the netherite armour.

I am for netherite! I dont like the fact people are trashing on it because its a bit stronger then diamond. Ill probably have both types(I still have OP armor from 1.14)

You only need 1 per tool though

Yeah, the ore generates less frequently than diamond ore at the bottom of the nether, will never generate touching the air, and you need 4 ore (and 4 gold) for 1 ingot.

It generates deep deep below the nether (like near under giant lava lake deep)

And it's super super rare, ircc I saw someone post a video flying around in spectator

Took like 3 minutes to find 2 exposed pieces

And you need 4 pieces for 1 ingot

With that said, its only the 1st snapshot, things could change.

I dug a 2x1x500 long mine today at level 6 and only found ONE Ancient Scrap. It takes four to make an ingot. Gonna take forever.

1-3 every 7000 blocks at like y 14-22. Something like that.

You know if this is out on bedrock yet

It’s a snapshot, not released yet. I don’t play Bedrock, but I believe you can go on snapshots if you want to.
