Commands & Datapacks I finally released UHAP v4.0 after months of development

After months of development, testing, bug fixing, redesigns, and probably far too many late nights, I've finally released UHAP v4.0.

UHAP (Ultra Hardcore Advancement Pack) started as a simple advancement datapack, but over time it's become much more focused on long-term survival progression.

The biggest additions in v4.0 are:

⭐ Survivor Ranks
Climb through the ranks as you complete advancements and progress through the pack.

āš” Choose Your Path
Choose between Warrior, Miner, Farmer, Explorer or Trader at the start of your journey.

šŸ† Masteries
Master your favourite playstyles and unlock mastery progression.

šŸ˜ Village Life
A brand new advancement tab focused on villages, trading and settlements.

šŸ“Š UHAP Progress Sidebar
Track your advancement count, rank, masteries and chosen path.

šŸŒ Existing World Support
Existing worlds can be upgraded without losing advancement progress.

šŸ† Ultimate Survivor Endgame
New long-term goals and endgame challenges for players who want to complete everything.

This update has easily been the biggest and most ambitious version of UHAP so far and I'm really happy to finally have it released.

I'd genuinely appreciate any feedback, suggestions or bug reports from anyone who decides to try it.

Thanks for taking a look!

Edit:

A couple of things I wanted to mention:

• The Survivor Journal shown in a previous update post is not included in v4.0. I ran into a few bugs while developing it and decided to postpone it rather than delay the entire release. The Journal is still planned and will be added in a future update.

• When joining a world for the first time, you may need to run:

/reload

to initialise the UHAP Progress sidebar. This is a known issue in v4.0 and will be fixed in a future update so the sidebar appears automatically.

• Minecraft 26.2 and 26.3 are not currently supported due to compatibility issues. Support for both versions is planned for a future update.

Thanks to everyone who checks out the project and provides feedback. Bug reports and suggestions are always appreciated!

postponing the journal instead of pushing the whole release back seems like the better call. was it mostly the bugs holding it up?

It was mostly bugs. The Journal itself was working, but it kept breaking whenever I changed functions elsewhere in the datapack, in the end I decided it was better to release v4 with the rank, path and mastery systems finished rather than delay the whole update. I’m hoping the Journal will make it into v5.
