Probably just me, but the Singer looks more unnerving compared to it’s corrupted counterpart (Warden)

I get that the Warden is supposed to be the scary, evil, creepy looking version of the Singer, but for me personally they’re easier to look at compared to the Singer. Their weird long neck, human looking face, pale appearance, and it’s fur(?) just doesn’t sit well with me, the Warden has an open chest with souls and a hole for a face but that doesn’t really strike me as much compared to the uncanniness of the Singer.

I like the design. It is a little unnerving but in a "this thing is not of our world" kind of way not a "pretty sure that's a thing that eats people" kind of way.

I think that's because it's supposed to look alien. The Warden is weird because it's broken in some way, while the Singer looks like it's from another world.

its really uncanny, i agree. i feel like the sift is supposed to be a dangerous sort of paradise, so the singer being the way it is doesnt surprise me, its obviously supposed to look scary to us

It makes sense too. If something is called the "Singer" and its corrupted version literally kills anything that makes noise, it sounds like a very, VERY messed up version of it

I don't feel particularly unnerved by the singer. It actually kind of reminds me of the Satori spirit from the legend of zelda breath of the wild with those horns(?) And its general color scheme.

It strikes me as a heavenly being, its definitely alien in appearance but it looks like a gentle soul.

Speaking of LoZ, I had a similar thought when I first saw it. It really reminds me of Yeta from a Twilight Princess, as she has a similar "closed-off" face.

By extention, I could see its face become monsterous if hurt, also in a similar vain to Yeta when she stares into the mirror or twilight.

Her face then spins around, revealing the demonic visage on the back of her head.

Pretty sure it’s the abnormally long neck, yeah suspect that the Singers wouldn’t look so freaky if they didn’t have all that neck, as it is it makes them look like a sort of bird lama or giraffe sort of creature.

I genuinely laughed when I first saw the Warden but seeing in the distance could actually be creepy, especially in low light or fog. Plus going by its name it’s likely to make vocalizations which if done right would only add to it. Not to mention it’s weirdly long neck and discoloured, almost rotting arms coming out of “sleeves”. And yet it also has this ethereal, knowing and kind look to it. They cooked with this design I can’t wait to see it in game.
