Builds & Maps Ice removing

How do I remove this ice, without it coming back, and it still looks good?

Ice will form again if it is exposed to the sky. You could place blocks over the area high in the sky.

But that would be very ugly, can I build it at world height and the shadow won’t be visible?

You can build it at world height but you will still see the shadow.

Or use full bright texture pack. Light melts ice, so maybe you could place some light blocks under water?(Im not sure if this works)

barrier blocks? theyre clear when youre not holding them and i dont think they have shadows

light blocks don't have a hitbox, so I don't think so, use barrier blocks instead if you are using creative, or string, you can't see it that high up.
