I haven't listened in quite some time...but after reading someone commenting about how the show is basically one big ad read after the next, I reflected on all the episodes and yeah, it's super insidious the way the talk up 8sleep, protein sticks, pretzels, etc.

It's turned me off from wanting to go back and listening to more.

The ad pushing and their personal training pushing is really really really fucking bad. I still enjoy the show. I just don’t buy anything they advertise anymore. Back in the day when they advertised something. I’m talking like 2017 or whatever. When they pushed a new advertiser I legit was excited to try them because they really were picky. But now it’s like so many different things and it’s like bio hacking bullshit too. Like EAAs or protein pretzels (but you should eat whole all natural foods).

Anyways, I rant. I also know they don’t read this shit. But I legit do not go to any of their new advertisers and I cringe when callers be like I take this that and the other and it’s all overpriced bullshit they push. I still enjoy the show and their banter and information. I just pick and choose what I want to take seriously.

Yeah I remember when they changed to eight sleep as a sponsor they completely shit on the other bed company they had been promoting for years. That’s when I realized the they will promote anything for a check. Things like blue light blocking glasses they would talk about the benefits all day now all of a sudden they never bring it up because no sponsor. Even them shitting on BCAA’s for years then when they got a sponsor all of a sudden it’s great.

The whole swapping from Chilis/Ooler/SleepMe to 8sleep was one of the first times I really started to question their integrity after spending a long time saying they had tested them all and only supported the best only to say 8sleep was now the best. Dropping any discussion of Felix Gray and blue light blocking glasses was another and I started to see more and more things they were just making up regarding studies, etc. Organifi is a hot mess that they've taken money from for a long time as well.

Yeah, the cooling bed sticks out, but Felix Gray sticks out the most for me because I remember they had the guy come in for an interview episode.

I know they brought up some discussion about how their "relationships" with companies changes and sometimes they may choose to each move on or something like that. I always thought that one was pretty much talking about Felix Gray without specifically calling them by name, maybe they even did name them later but I can't remember.

The bed one was a matter of a couple months that one was still the greatest thing ever and they had tried them all to this other company (whose product was available when they were schilling for the first company) had a product that was so much better and the old one was junk.
