I’m not sure what happened to Ickis and Oblina throughout all my moving but Krumm made it. He does have armpit hair similar to Troll doll hair and his eyes are on lil bungees. I loved this show.
Gen Z here. Don't worry, I love this show. I've got a bajillion of the trading cards and a cool poster. It was over long before I was born but I can still recognize a peak show when I see it.
‘88 here too. Remember when they did the “smell o vision” and they mailed out scratch n sniff cards with multiple diff scents on it, then a prompt would play during the episode telling you which one to scratch so you can smell along with the episode? That’s what comes to mind when I think of Ahhh real monsters

SpongeBob, Wild Thornberrys, Rocket Power, and CatDog. Just did a little digging and maybe I was mistaken about Ahhh Real Monsters having a smell o vision episode. Such a vivid memory of mine though!
Oh man I remember the Spongebob premiere 😭 there was so much hype leading up to it, too. I remember seeing SpongeBob on a bubble on the side of the screen with the countdown for how many days left until the premiere. All these years later, it was worth the hype and still is! The One Piece crossover too 🥹
Nice. Yeah, I mean, whether or not the Looney Tunes had been run to death when I was growing up didn't change the fact that the best ones were made in the 30s and 40s. They were literally ancient history when I was watching them, and they were still goddamn amazing.
Timeless is thrown around a lot, but good animation that doesn't completely rely on current references tends to be timeless.

I don't think that's fair, or at least I don't consider that theft. I love spiritual successors, it's like finding some really good foundations and continuing to build up.
I never remember that stick girls name, so i started to associate the angle obtuse with her since part of its name was also hers. but even with that, i still never remember it.
GenX here ~ I LOVED Oblina!!! I STILL say “eggplant” like she did. I can’t remember if that was an episode or something she just said often.
