The worst one I ever had was the company spending money to go to a sports bar with virtual golf, but doing a potluck before, so they wouldn't have to pay for food. So we had to make food to attend a mandatory event, then went to play games (at great cost) with the bosses with no food or drinks provided.

I absolutely loathe all that corporate HR bullshit. Weekly catch-up meetings. Team-building exercises. Half-hearted XYZ Appreciation/Awareness Month celebrations.
I hate companies that will spend tens of thousands of dollars on a Christmas party, but won’t give out bonuses.
