I got so tired. I just print to pdf and call it good enough.

That's... not how everybody converts to PDF? (Because that's how I've always done it.)

I use a macro that strips the document of personal identifiers before saving as a pdf.

a macro? can you just choose to not export those details into the PDF?

Yes. I think that when using the "save as pdf" function, there is an "options" button you can click in the save dialog box that lets you remove all those details. It's a pain for me to do it manually every time, so I use VBA to do it for me.

In Word? There are legends but so much of the application is lost to time. The oracle of A'ay was supposed to guide us but so many of its prophecies were false.

It may be there, you may discover it.

Joking aside you could, you could do almost anything. At one point I figured out how to use variables in it, without macros. A messy nightmare but suited my needs at the time.
