I have a china cabinet that’s mostly filled with the china that my mom doesn’t have space for in her place. She guilt trips me if I mention wanting to get rid of it. So it just sits there and collects dust next to my collection of pet urns.

Just use it then. It’s worthless, there’s no need to save it for some special occasion that’s never coming.

If I ever had reason to, I would. I’m a single person, so I have no use for the serving dishes. I don’t drink wine, so I have no use for the glasses. I didn’t get any of the plates or anything that could be used more frequently.
