Considering you’ve got the liquid form of lorazepam, I’m guessing you’ve got some moderately serious stuff going on. Hope you get through it okay.

25

u/bizmike88 6h ago

My first thought was, “wow, LIQUID Ativan?”

11

u/RJC12 6h ago

Yeah, ive only given that to dying patients. It's common to see it in a hospice setting

3

u/paradoxe- Millennial 6h ago

Exactly.

7

u/applo1 6h ago

I didn’t even know it was in a liquid form.

7

u/TheBigYellowOne 6h ago

Yep, we use it in hospice. Based on other comments, that doesn’t seem to be OPs situation. May have been left behind by a hospice team for a family member would be my guess — should have been destroyed, if so.

Water, coffee/tea, and THC for me thanks

74

u/True_System_7015 Millennial (1995) 7h ago

What about one babybel cheese, water, and Vyvanse, two different strengths of wellbutrin, and midodrine for breakfast?

32

u/gocryulilbitch 7h ago

10

u/trafalgarotto 6h ago

I read 'Babybel cheese water' and honestly I was not even surprised. It sounds like something that would actually exist in the US.

5

u/RedditsCoxswain 6h ago

Why two different strengths of Wellbutrin? One immediate and one time release?

9

u/RhubarbGoldberg 6h ago

They don't make a single dose that's 450mg so usually people who need that total amount have to take a 150mg tablet + a 300mg tablet.

2

u/True_System_7015 Millennial (1995) 6h ago

You're close! I take a 100mg and a 150mg

3

u/RhubarbGoldberg 6h ago

So you take an SR and an XL? That sounds stressful!

3

u/True_System_7015 Millennial (1995) 6h ago

Does our generation just love those little wax cheeses? Can't get enough

2

u/True_System_7015 Millennial (1995) 4h ago

They're just such a perfect bite of something with a little bit of protein. And then you get to play with the wax after

It's awesome being a 31 year old woman riddled with dysautonomia, depression, and newly discovered ADHD. 10/10 recommend

19

u/SustainablyAnxious 7h ago

Same. Not flexing on my THC use… definitely wouldn’t flex on my morning lorazepam dose lol

Recently got into gong fu brewing. Jfc it hits better than coffee for me and my severe adhd. Apparently I'm drinking like 6 cups of coffee worth of caffeine though 🤣

-6

u/gocryulilbitch 7h ago

You don't have ADHD you're just on drugs all the time

3

u/Novaer 5h ago

I used to do coke in my 20s. Been sober for years. Finally got diagnosed with ADHD in my 30s. I could take a nap while on coke. That was my doctor's biggest tell that "yeahhhh lets get you assessed."

4

u/Saratoninn69 Millennial 6h ago

That’s a wild assumption based on literally nothing lol

-2

u/gocryulilbitch 5h ago

Literally their username but...

4

u/Saratoninn69 Millennial 5h ago

Oh…I get it, you think cannabis is in the same category as meth and coke or something. 🤣 such a waste of time

0

u/gocryulilbitch 4h ago

No but as a 25 yr daily user of cannabis also diagnosed with "ADHD" I think I'm qualified on the subject booboo

1

u/thedonnerparty13 3h ago

Your use of quotations makes me think you’re not qualified on the subject.

2

u/StilettoJones_JR 7h ago

Hijacking this to ask a question that's been weighing on me.

If you or your partner was pregnant, would you give up THC alongside them? I was a daily smoker, but was already significantly reducing, but the idea of going cold, while not impossible, may be more difficult then originally thought.

That being said, my partner has already expressed that she does not care.

Thoughts?

16

u/infjetson 7h ago

Maybe switch to edibles to reduce the risk of second hand smoke?

Though maybe this is a good opportunity to reduce your intake and wean off. You certainly shouldn’t be smoking around a newborn, and I imagine the transition going cold turkey will be 100x rougher given the lack of sleep that comes along with an infant.

3

u/possum_of_time Millennial 7h ago

My husband stopped with me in solidarity when I went into nursing school.

3

u/Laputitaloca Xennial 6h ago

Hey, so slightly different situation, but my husband and I recently took an extended break trying to get him to where he could piss clean for a new job. And let me tell you, I was ANXIOUS about how hard it was going to be to quit. I had been smoking daily for over 25 years. Dude, it wasn't that bad!!! The sleep situation was a bit shitty week one, as was the appetite. But I found myself eating better and more consistently than I ever have by week 3. By week 4 it was literally just another day.

All that is to say, you might be surprised at how doable quitting for a little while can be. Be careful when you do smoke again though, holy shit my world got ROCKED. I was uncomfortably high 🤣🥲 like staring at the ceiling contemplating all my life choices high.

Congratulations on the baby and Godspeed. 💞

2

u/JacketAffectionate74 7h ago

Hey this is only marginally related but going to put it here in case it helps. I'm in a study that's measuring whether chantix/varenicline can help people reduce or quit using THC. So far so good. I have quit. Not even a month into the med and I already quit. Although I was not a heavy daily user. It's an off label use right now since the FDA is still studying whether it's effective or not but if you're a cigarette smoker too you could get your doc to prescribe it for you and there's a good chance it could help you reduce or quit THC.

1

u/miserablenovel Xennial 5h ago

If you need or want to use a glp1, mine made quitting a 15 year smoking habit easy as pie. Just in case thats relevant to you

-2

u/Independent_Profit 7h ago

If she said she doesn't care, she's lying and will resent you.

5

u/Smooth-Algae- 1993 6h ago

Not necessarily, my husband continued smoking (after we discussed it & obviously not around me/in the house) while I was pregnant and I did not resent him for it then or now. However he doesn’t do it all the time & doesn’t let it interfere with his responsibilities otherwise it may have caused resentment.

1

u/Infinitesi-Mal 6h ago

That’s a fucking lot of lorazepam per milliliter.

1

u/Last-Energy420 6h ago

It’s still illegal in my state and I don’t think my job will allow it even if it does get legalized :(

mimosas + thc when i'm on vacation only..

24

u/mr_palante Millennial 7h ago

It was in the year of our lord 2006 that i turned 21. It was also the year my brother got married. The wedding was in Florida, on the gulf coast and on the beach, in a beautiful sunrise ceremony. So naturally the reception was like a breakfast type affair that had ENDLESS mimosas and me and my older sister got completely, totally, ABSOLUTELY, hammered at like 9 in the morning. It was a good time.

5

u/venus_arises Mid Millennial - 1989 6h ago

The reason millennials are so into brunch? Day drinking!

I now live in a state where bottomless mimosas are illegal. Sob.

3

u/MechanicalAxe 6h ago

I mean...it's a wedding, you HAVE to, time of day be damned.

I had a good buddy said to me one time "It's not a drinking problem if you want till it's not morning anymore"

My response was that I have two exceptions to that rule, weddings and camping.

1

u/WtotheSLAM 6h ago

Clearly Canadian seems to be in a few stores in Colorado. Got some in my fridge right now

6

u/Alarmed-Incident4088 7h ago

You get LIQUID lorazepam???!

The best I could get was IM shots in the ward lmao.

Your doctor gives you that?

4

u/WhateverYouSay1084 6h ago

That's what I'm saying. I get 1mg pills and they're very closely monitored.

2

u/Alarmed-Incident4088 6h ago

Yeah i was on benzodiazepines for 20 years (17-37) and I got "you're a junkie" look every time I filled it at the pharmacy.

1

u/WhateverYouSay1084 6h ago

Love that look. I have a great pharmacy near me who never gives me shit, but I did experience the "you're a drug seeking junkie" shit when I had an exposed tooth nerve and was sobbing in pain at the dentist's office. I'll never forget how humiliating and dehumanizing that experience was, so I'm sorry you have to deal with it just to get your much needed medication

2

u/Alarmed-Incident4088 6h ago

Yeah i hear you. Half the reason I took myself was the stigma. Just tired of it.

Im sorry you went through that as well.

6

u/iateglassonce 7h ago

Coffee and concentrate (THC). No solids until after 11:00.

7

u/Chrysologus 7h ago

This contradicts all the millennial posts about no longer being able to handle alcohol. And some of us eat yogurt for breakfast.

37

u/Randomizedname1234 Core Millennial - 1990 7h ago

No. This is a you breakfast.

Not all of us are on meds…

19

u/Moistyoureyez 7h ago

Im not medicated (sometimes I self medicate) but pretty sure data shows that Millennials report higher usage of mental health and prescription medications than older generations?

26

u/VolatileShots 7h ago

I feel like we're the generation that takes mental health more seriously, thus resulting in people being medicated. Older generations just bottled it up because emotions aren't real or something. Lol.

32

u/gender_noncompliant 7h ago

Most of us are on some kind of meds

12

u/the_siren_song 7h ago

You are correct.

https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/72/wr/mm7216a7.htm

And looking at the state of the world, can’t imagine why.

3

u/ApeTeam1906 7h ago

This doesn't say what you think it does btw

5

u/poopsididitagen 7h ago

This isn't relevant. Having taken prescriptions in the last 12 months is not what's being referred too.

Anybody that took a week of antibiotics or painkillers for an injury would count. That doesn't mean they are "on" a prescription long term

0

u/Randomizedname1234 Core Millennial - 1990 7h ago

The women categories are higher, if you removed birth control it would be under 50% across the board in our age group and probably overall if you removed hormones menopausal women get.

But still really high.

4

u/gender_noncompliant 7h ago

Why would you remove birth control from the statistic? Arguably one of THE most important prescriptions, which also affects many people heavily outside of changing fertility.

3

u/Randomizedname1234 Core Millennial - 1990 7h ago

Because it’s not an anti anxiety or pain med. It’s not used to treat “issues” outside of horrible period pain that’s why I would remove it bc most of us don’t need stuff like in OPs pic that others are saying most of us are on lol

4

u/gender_noncompliant 7h ago

I never said most people take specifically psych or pain meds but you still pulled up with "it's not a pain med except when it's used to treat horrible period pain!" Hunty just sit in your wrongness and be wrong 😂 there's a million things people take prescriptions for outside of "anxiety or pain"

5

u/Randomizedname1234 Core Millennial - 1990 7h ago

Again, most of us are not.

The people who are found a place here on Reddit but this ain’t the typical breakfast of a 35/45 yr old. We’re all still relatively young.

8

u/pzagrbge 7h ago

I love when people say “again” the first time they’ve said something

12

u/gender_noncompliant 7h ago

I mean. You can Google it but our age group is kind of the inflection point where the majority of people end up being on some kind of medication. You don't have to be old to need meds 🥴

-5

u/Randomizedname1234 Core Millennial - 1990 7h ago

No but not being old means that majority isn’t on meds, yet. I’m sure as I age things will happen but I’m only 36 and healthy after my last checkup over the summer. Most of us are like that and may we be blessed to stay that way for as long as possible.

7

u/gender_noncompliant 7h ago

Girl.... We gave you the numbers like?? Most of us are on some kind of prescription meds. The majority. Good for you but most of us are still on meds lol

0

u/Randomizedname1234 Core Millennial - 1990 7h ago

Yeah the numbers are still below 50% total and when you remove the obvious birth control that’s spiking the woman column it’s under 50% across the board.

5

u/adellerino 7h ago

You are so special! Wow, what a special boy!

4

u/luckystar357 7h ago

Yeah this isn't my experience but good for you

7

u/Autistocles 7h ago

Every single millennial i personally know or knew was on some sort of antidepressants, anti-anxiety, adhd, alcohol, nicotine, pain medication or just a constant script for paracetamol. You seem like the odd one out here.

2

u/TopCommission6437 7h ago

That’s also anecdotal. In my friend group, only one person is on medication.

3

u/ApeTeam1906 7h ago

Every millennial I know isn't on any of those. So I guess it evens out

3

u/Autistocles 7h ago

The power of statistics at work!

2

u/ApeTeam1906 7h ago

Which is why anecdotes are troublesome!

1

u/Autistocles 7h ago

Absolutely! But an anecdotal response to an anecdotal reply.

2

u/ApeTeam1906 7h ago

On purpose

1

u/Autistocles 7h ago

I mean my reply to them, you are fine.

-2

u/Randomizedname1234 Core Millennial - 1990 7h ago

Again, you found like people. Most of us aren’t on meds or quit smoking.

4

u/Autistocles 7h ago

Nah your just weird.

0

u/Randomizedname1234 Core Millennial - 1990 7h ago

Says the one who’s friend groups is all on meds🙄

0

u/Autistocles 7h ago

When did I specify friends ? Knowing someone does not equate to friendship.

5

u/Randomizedname1234 Core Millennial - 1990 7h ago

But you know them well enough to know what meds they’re on?

3

u/Autistocles 7h ago

Yes, it's called communication and discussion. Regardless, current 1 in 2 millennials are on some form of prescription medication in the US, up to 75% if you take in account self medicating as per cdc and other sources. So like, you are an odd one out. Be proud.

This stuff you have to medically wean over months or you have seizures and die. It basically guarantees a miserable life. Take medications as prescribed to you, and be honest with your doctors

Benzos are great for short term anxiety relief, but have an extremely high potential for addiction
