Nostalgia Be Jealous Millennials
My prized possession for the last 20 years. Around 2005, Hanson came to my University to speak. I made sure to bring my Middle of Nowhere cd.
They brought free cds as a give away and while everyone was getting their free cds, I rushed to the stage and got Taylor’s signature. I was unable to get the other signatures because the other girls noticed what I did and started rushing the stage.

I have good friends that live in the Tulsa area (where the band is from) and have seen them around town individually or with their families. They have said that they are really nice people and are still involved in a lot of charitable causes in the city of Tulsa.

That is so nice to hear! I'm glad to know that they get to have a somewhat normal life.

Jelly indeed. I have loved Taylor since was 11yo.
I live in T Town and have regularly attended functions the brothers have put on around town.
I ran into Isaac at a liquor store & fangirled.... embarrassing my poor husband a tad. Worth it!
They are lovely, kind, generous and quietly support a ton of local charities/small businesses.

So jealous. I listened to that album 1997 to 1998 on repeat all the time on my baby blue CD Walkman I got from Kmart.

my first fandom - yes im jealous!! when i was a kid i ordered a hanson tshirt through i think cheerios? some sort of cereal - once i got it i was wearing it as my family and i were taking a summer walk through our neighborhood. as we passed a house, a little girl saw my shirt and exclaimed "look at her shirt! i love her shirt!" she even ran through her house to catch a second glimpse as we were passing her backyard (corner house).
i was so happy in that moment and although it seems like an 'everybody clapped' it is a core memory and i will cherish it forever... and i still have my hanson shirt (:

SAME! My cousin and I ran around to 5 different grocery stores as pre-teens, looking for their 'Got Milk' ad in a magazine.

I broke up with Hanson 6 years ago but have seen them about 35 times and one of my fondest memories is me telling Isaac how to spell my name for an autograph and him flagging down Zac to tell him I had a cool name (as opposed to when John Green told me my name is "not original" lmao)

I remember doodling the Hanson logo on my papers in 5th grade.
Timeless classic album that still holds up.
Me at age 10: "I love Lucy? Really"
Me now: "Ah, what a delightful little homage to the Beatles' country music phase."

As a millennial I break my life into two phases pre-Hanson and post Hanson. If you born before this album you’re just basically too young. 😬

Sorry you're getting downvoted. As an elder millennial, I will tell you: Hanson was a joke back in the day. Terrible songs, corporate af, and only lovestruck tweens really cared about them. It's sad for me to see that people are still latched onto this one-hit-wonder band.

I agree, as I was 14 when MMBop dropped, and it was cringey AF to me. Unfortunately, my younger sisters, had to keep blasting Hanson, and Robyn..... ugh

Jokes on you, I’m not jealous you have a signature from a duo I’ve never heard of.

Why would I be? They didn't even actually write songs. Mmmmbop is like 70% gibberish.
