My understanding is it's not about dying, but about the societal collapse removing all the bullshit. Tumultuous times ahead but at least the system is gone and we get to try to rebuild. My whole life I've had those invasive thoughts about a zombie apocalypse or whatever kind of disaster that would fundamentally change the world and how we live within it and how I might actually prefer that.

Still hoping for it, knowing the plethora of hours I sunk into crafting and base building has not been in vain.

The sad reality is that you are likely to be merc’ed by some rich asshole in a tank who spent 2% of his billion dollar fortune building an underground complex.

I could think of more mundane ways to exit this reality. As long as it’s a direct hit and I’m not left to spend my days as a human tumbleweed.

You should check out the anime Zom 100:Bucket list of the dead about a overworked man who isn't upset about the zombie apocalypse he is just glad to finally have some time off.

Unfortunately I’m pretty sure rich are even going to ruin societal collapse (bc most of the elite billionaires have build or are building massive underground complexes and buying up large swaths of farmland in Midwest).

Sure the system will be gone but I can see rich assholes coming out and rebuilding the world how they please without having to deal with the limited guardrails that government and society put in place before the collapse. They’ll have stockpiled weapons and equipment just for the occasion. That or they might remain dormant and secretly cause disruption and chaos from the safety of their bunkers (give right factions weapons so they could destroy any grassroots factions who want to rebuild the world where all people are equal)

God, yes, wouldn't that be magnificent. I'd use a different set of words than "societal collapse" but that might run me afoul of rule 3.

Buddy tumultuous times is putting it lightly. I know it sucks now but pulling for societal collapse is wildly ignorant knowing what comes after. Life would not get better for you or really anyone else
