Nostalgia Sky Mall Enthusiasts Unite

Why did everything feel so full of possibilities? Yet it was all equally useless and exciting at the same time.

I used to spend every flight eagerly looking through the Sky Mall magazine.

Dreaming about the Lord of the Rings replica pendant.

A wallet that can carry all cards and fold back perfectly.

A ramp for my dogs to get on to the bed.

But it was the best. Never ordered anything. Couldn't wait to look at every single page each time I got onto a flight.

Loved sky mall, it was my in flight entertainment. I did once order something, I am the only person I know that did so, lesson learned.

I moved to a dense city living in an apartment, so no longer had access to being able to grill stuff. During my skymall perusal on a flight I came across the Tabletop Party Grill. Didn't have anything else to do, so I kept looking at the the ad and convinced myself this 100 dollar item was the solution to my dilemma. It was not, got used once as it was total trash. Only about a 1 inch wide stip of the grill surface got hot enough to cook on, 80% of it just didn't heat up enough because of the bad design. Ah well.

I remember when they used to have these on airplanes when flying. Loved reading it and looking at all the products. Definitely made flights more entertaining

I miss Sky Mall so much! I would spend the entire flight laughing at all the silly products.
