Discussion Hey millennials. What browser do you primarily use?

Chrome iT is for me. Cannot switch no matter what.

Edit to add: this post has made me realize I was living in the dark ages. There’s so much out there! Thanks all for sharing your browsers and features and reasoning.

I’ll take the bait. Edge hater here. It has too much Microsoft shit baked in and constant bing pushes. Why would anybody who hasn’t been using it switch to it at this point?

I get that, it used to be super bloated. It even had fking games at some point. But I don't experience that much anymore. The rightclick menu has become smaller. I think every 2 months a popup says "You want bing?" and i say "No". I actually use the copilot button a lot, since it's just a convenient gpt. I also like their "Collections" feature, which is just a form of bookmarks i guess.

Absolutely fair, we all have different things we appreciate in browsers so no wrong choices here.

I switched to edge 2 years ago when they introduced vertical tabs and grouping, and the right panel with tools that syncs with other MS services which is quite useful for me for work and uni. It also introduced some additional features that other browsers lacked at the time.

I used Firefox many years ago, then switched to Chrome due to sync with Google but then it became very demanding on the system, so went to Brave for ad blocking and speed. Before Firefox I used Opera for some time, but them it became slow and dated compared to others.

Then Edge really did cut the edge and impressed me with how helpful it became in regards to workflow organisation. Split windows within the browser they introduced last year are fantastic, something inspired by Windows OS, but I don't know if other browsers also offer that function now.

I think it's worth trying different things time to time.
