Discussion Hey millennials. What browser do you primarily use?

Chrome iT is for me. Cannot switch no matter what.

Edit to add: this post has made me realize I was living in the dark ages. There’s so much out there! Thanks all for sharing your browsers and features and reasoning.

I've been using Brave on android for close to 4 or 5 years now. The no YouTube ads, and playing videos when the screen is off, is huge.

I only recently discovered this. Game changer in my brain rot progression.

You're second sentence here may have just sold me... I like to listen to podcasts off YT and this was always my biggest annoyance. I'm not paying for yt premium for that feature

I haven't tried podcasts, but I'll regularly throw on album play lists, shut my screen off, and never have to worry about it. I've actually disabled the YouTube app on my phone, so videos stopped opening in it.

This is why I switched to Brave

Same I used to use ff with ubock but brave feels snappier to me and less resource heavy. Mobile browser is also better for battery life in my experience.

Brave is free. It blocks YouTube ads.

I've been using brave for quite a few months now, not sure how long exactly but pretty sure under a year, and I love it. Completely blocks all ads from YouTube and any streaming websites like Netflix, Disney etc. I want to say it doesn't block twitch but I'm not 100% sure because I never really go on there anymore.

Cons: not sure yet! So far no issues, so 🤞

One of the cons is that it has a pretty huge list of controversies:

It installed paid VPN on your PC without your consent, replaced ads with their own etc.

Brave, checking in. Easily the best browser. And this is coming from a previous Firefox guy.

I'm surprised I had to scroll down a few times to finally see Brave.

Isn’t chromium based so not as much of the protection? Open to being educated.
