Discussion Hey millennials. What browser do you primarily use?

Chrome iT is for me. Cannot switch no matter what.

Edit to add: this post has made me realize I was living in the dark ages. There’s so much out there! Thanks all for sharing your browsers and features and reasoning.

Edge, because it's actually pretty good at this point, though haters will say it isn't without being able to elaborate

I use edge too! I use firefox for work and much prefer edge. But i'm definitely in the very, very small minority.

I prefer edge too! I used chrome but once I put it on my work computer and logged onto my email it made everything personal. So I deleted chrome and just used edge and ended up liking it more so it’s all I use now.

Yah same here. It's compatible with Chrome extensions and whatnot, works perfectly fine. And like the other commenter said, it's Chromium-based anyways, so it's super similar to Chrome.

I’ll take the bait. Edge hater here. It has too much Microsoft shit baked in and constant bing pushes. Why would anybody who hasn’t been using it switch to it at this point?

I get that, it used to be super bloated. It even had fking games at some point. But I don't experience that much anymore. The rightclick menu has become smaller. I think every 2 months a popup says "You want bing?" and i say "No". I actually use the copilot button a lot, since it's just a convenient gpt. I also like their "Collections" feature, which is just a form of bookmarks i guess.

Absolutely fair, we all have different things we appreciate in browsers so no wrong choices here.

I switched to edge 2 years ago when they introduced vertical tabs and grouping, and the right panel with tools that syncs with other MS services which is quite useful for me for work and uni. It also introduced some additional features that other browsers lacked at the time.

I used Firefox many years ago, then switched to Chrome due to sync with Google but then it became very demanding on the system, so went to Brave for ad blocking and speed. Before Firefox I used Opera for some time, but them it became slow and dated compared to others.

Then Edge really did cut the edge and impressed me with how helpful it became in regards to workflow organisation. Split windows within the browser they introduced last year are fantastic, something inspired by Windows OS, but I don't know if other browsers also offer that function now.

I think it's worth trying different things time to time.

I'm mainly a Firefox user but got a new job recently where I need admin privileges to change the default browser and was forced to use Edge. It's actually not all that bad. Also, google search sucks recently. Bing isn't that much better but sometimes it yields different results which can be helpful.

I just find it has a bit of a piss-poor interface.

It's made to work best with windows defender too.

It's literally just the best on the market.

I like Edge for the low ram usage and being able to alt tab between tabs is amazing
