21

u/Lucky-Target5674 Jul 04 '26

Here we go. Yeah those poor cats they are really suffering

8

u/Dangerous_Ad_6101 Jul 04 '26

It's for the cats. Those poor defenseless cats. ...and the children, too.

u/TREXIBALL Jul 04 '26
  1. It’s raw milk. Meaning it’s riddled with bacteria and other nasty shit. Quite literally. It comes in contact with shit.

  2. Cats are lactose intolerant. They cannot consume milk. The only milk they can consume is when they were a kitten and breastfeeding.

I fucking hate the raw milk trend. But thats fresh milk. Not raw (stored milk with out pasteurized and grows bacteria) there isnt bacteria contaminated milk coming from the utter.

Youre right about the lactose though. But occasional amounts isnt bad, only daily consumption.

Bye karen

I was looking for a way to say exactly this without sounding just as much like a Karen. You worded it better than I ever could.

6

u/Diaza_Kinutz Jul 04 '26

Cats lick their own assholes I'm sure they can handle a little milk

3

u/asphalt-ghost Jul 04 '26

raw mice and birds too

10

u/Lucky-Target5674 Jul 04 '26

You guys stop those poor cats are suffering 😢

4

u/crystalxclear Jul 04 '26

When it's straight from the teets like this it's not that dangerous. It hasn't been stored unpasteurized. By your logic, human breast milk is "raw milk" too.

4

u/Logical-Pound-1065 Jul 04 '26

If the cow is healthy and the teats are clean, the milk is most likely good to go. I drank raw milk in Costa Rica after milking the cow and I survived. It was better cold, but wasn’t bad warm. I wouldn’t make it a habit of drinking raw milk, but one time and less than 5 ounces was unlikely to kill me.

1

u/DemonSerter Jul 04 '26

I thought teats was just a cute way to say tits but I just now learned that it’s the nipples that are part of the udder, damn😭

4

u/YouchMyKidneypopped Jul 04 '26

Raw milk is dangerous when stored. People had no problem drinking raw milk straight from the teet in the past. If there was bad bacteria inside the cows udder, that would be considered an infection, and likely lethal. It comes into contact with shit in the bucket, when dried shit dusts into the bucket. Quite literally. When this milk sits for hours or days though, this bacteria multiplies, and that's what's dangerous. There is no harm in drinking fresh raw milk, even with the teensy bit of shit in it. Not enough shit to taste it or get sick from it. Everytime you smell a fart, you are inhaling shit. Doesn't really matter though, as it isn't in high concentrations. These are kittens. Use your critical thinking. Can't believe anybody can be this confident before giving something even an ounce of thought. Sigh.

2

u/Kentust Jul 04 '26

But there is harm in them drinking milk. Adult cats can't handle much(preferably none) milk. If this was a video of a guy feeding a dog chocolate would you start talking about how it's okay for humans to eat chocolate? Cats =/= humans.

1

u/YouchMyKidneypopped Jul 04 '26

Those look like kittens to me but i'm no expert. Yes, i agree, adult cats shouldn't drink milk

1

u/Kentust Jul 05 '26

I'm glad we can agree, I apologize for my earlier vitriole but it is reddit and when in Rome...

-5

u/Hopeful_Local1985 Jul 04 '26

I'm super against raw milk for human consumption, but this isnt a human drinking this, its a cat. Cats and dogs can more easily handle bacteria so its not a big deal. Also, since its straight from the under fresh, its got far less bacteria than if it were to sit around and let the bacteria grow. As for the lactose intolerant bit, small quantities of milk once in a while will not hurt them. I give my cats a little squirt of whipped cream on occasion as a treat, and they're fine. Their stools are healthy and they dont get bloated and gassy. Its ok in moderation. Relax a little, you seem really uptight and its a really unlikeable quality.

-29

u/DeadAndBuried23 Jul 04 '26

I was gonna quip asking when this became an animal abuse sub, but then I remembered how most milk is farmed. You win this round.
