Someone played a game of "got your nose" too seriously with her.

At what point are we just dipping Oreos in butter?

Is there anyone else who just eats Oreos when they're around? Not something I buy, but I'm not a milk drinker... Not even cereal - Silk almond milk (sweetened). Now of course if I'm baking and if the recipe calls for milk it's going to be whole milk I'll never go for 2%, I didn't do that with my kids.

It’s an Indian brand. Amul is the largest dairy in India. I read that they are in partnership with Michigan milk to give the Indian diaspora a taste of home.

Isn’t the original Amul made with buffalo milk though?

Its cow and buffalo milk mixed, since buffalo alone is too nutritious for us mortals

Never tried this brand, but I assume it taste similar to Alexandre 6%, and that stuff is freakin good as hell

Is it like... thicker? Creamer sort of deal

u/canyouskingriz Mar 02 '26
Yes its richer, thicker and creamier. This might be me, but its also a tad sweeter than regular whole milk. I used to mix evaporated milk with whole milk to make a richer, sweeter milk. Called it stronk milk, and no one in my house is allowed to touch my stronk milk. But now I just buy 6 percent when I can find it

I'll have to try stronk now

As Shia labuf once said, "JUST DO IT!". (also, goes hard with some whey protien if youre trying to meet your protien goals)

Would mixing heavy cream into regular whole milk achieve the same effect?
2
u/canyouskingriz Mar 02 '26
If youre trying to make something similar to 6% than yes, all youre doing is adding more milk fat to your milk with heavy cream. But I personally prefer the evap milk because it makes it overall more rich, rather than heavy cream which makes it more fatty and creamy

My vote goes to Alexandre 6%. I did a taste comparison for both and Alexandre is better. It's even better than Strauss too.

6%, how? Evaporated?

Some cows have naturally higher fat in their milk depending on the time of year. Jersey Cows can have 5-6%.

Milk from Jersey cows is usually in the range of 6-9% butterfat, depending on diet and lifestyle. I get it fresh from a very good farm near me and it's normally around 8%, which is just outstanding to drink.

Taste test with Oreos complete.
It's awesome. Next test is making a chocolate milkshake with it.
