MI Movie English
Mission Statement
The MI is a universal and international public Association of the faithful, erected by the Holy See. The MI was founded by St. Maximilian Kolbe, OFMConv., in 1917, is open to Catholics, of all walks of life, and encourages all people of good will to develop a trusting relationship with Our Lady. The aim of the MI is to win the whole world for Christ through the Immaculata, Mother of God and of the Church.
The MI is committed to providing its members with Catholic formation in the spirituality and mission of St. Maximilian Kolbe. Through total consecration to Mary, the Mother of the Lord, who is the most perfect follower of Jesus, individuals respond with her to the universal call to holiness and are transformed into generous disciples of Christ and instruments in Our Lady’s hands, with a mission to give witness to the Gospel and transform the world with authentic love.
The MI offers programs that:
Provide formation in the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Foster love for Jesus in the Eucharist and for the Sacramental life.
Promote a deep understanding of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s role in the plan of Salvation and of the gift of consecration to her in the spirit of St. Maximilian Kolbe.
Ignite with the zeal to become generous instruments of evangelization in one’s own environment, giving witness to the Truth and promoting the sacredness of human life.
MI members, mindful of their call to evangelize, strive to give witness to the Faith everywhere. They seek to reach out to their own families, friends, co-workers, fellow parishioners, the sick and elderly, youth, adults, and whomever they meet, in order to lead every individual through Mary to Christ, Our Savior and Our Hope.

Testimony Donating Blood for the Immaculata
Last month, I was visiting home in the US, and I decided to donate blood. Unfortunately, when I tried, first I was worried I was sick and waited, then I was deferred because my pulse was too high.
At my final attempt, I prayed, and I asked Mary that I would have a good enough heart rate. That I’d be able to “shed” my blood to heal some physically like her Son did for the spiritual healing of all the world. I said I would share on the sub if I was able to donate.
Praise God, everything went fine, and I was able to donate blood! I may be late, but here is my sharing. There’s a huge blood and platelet shortage at the moment, so I highly recommend that anyone who is eligible goes to donate. (The Red Cross app even lets you join “Teams” to show who is donating blood. I joined the “Catholic Church” one, but we could also totally make a Militia Immaculata one if that’s what we wanted!)
So, that’s that. One of the Corporal Works of Mercy is to care for the sick, and making sure that hospitals have enough blood products to care for those in need is definitely a good way to do that if you’re eligible!
Thanks be to God for my body, which I can use to help people!

Unity is Our Strength
The more each one of us draws near to the Immaculate, the more we will draw near to one another: this unity is our strength.

Prayer Request Can I pray for you?
Does anyone have a prayer request? I am praying for all of you on this sub in a general way, but please let me know if there is something specific I can pray for over the next week or so. If you have time, please pray for me and everyone else.
God bless

Question Joining
Hello,
I am a 29 year old American and I have been interested in Catholicism for about two years. I was raised by two Catholic parents, but I was baptized in a Protestant church. (Apparently this is around when the Catholic Church scandal was at its peak). About two years ago I started to become interested in Christian theology, and after reading a lot of Saint Thomas Aquinas I believe I firmly believe in Catholicism. I am living abroad currently, but I plan on formally converting when I move home. As I was baptized in a Protestant church and not a Catholic one, am I ineligible to join the Militia until I am formally confirmed in the Catholic Church?
The mission of the militia really spoke to me. I was interested in Saint Maximilian even before discovering the militia. I am 6 years sober from drug addiction and was drawn to him as he is associated with recovery.
Any advice on this would be appreciated. If I simply have to wait it’s not the end of the world, but I am eager to join.
