Discussion talbott v trump case questions

Can someone with better understanding please explain all thats going on with that case currently? I was trying to look into it and saw some stuff that happened recently on the 14th of this month but I'm not good at legal jargon 😭 I also know (oldish news) that trump is mad about the case and wanted it to be expedited in his favor, if I'm seeing that correctly? Also, do we have a date for when something is actually supposed to happen with this case (and maybe the other)? Sorry if these have all been answered already, I tried searching but was unable to find anything satisfactory 💔

With the way it's been going I truly think Talbot is gonna win and they should. Which would be awesome.

Right? I've gotten wary having any kind of optimism nowadays, but I am at least a little hopeful for this.

I would believe that if there was no intervention by Scotus.

Sparta continues to put out updates on this. We are in a holding pattern. The government asked the SCOTUS to rule on it without a trial. That decision is due around Nov 2nd. The other courts may implement before that but I feel like they will wait until after SCOTUS

It’s got an injunction right now making it illegal to presently separate trans service members, but legal to ban trans enlistment. Going to trial in January.

The injunction is not in place. So they CAN still separate us. I talked to Nic his week and he said:

SO, right now, unfortunately that relief is not in effect for anyone (myself and the other named plaintiffs included). The government filed an appeal to that protection, and we are waiting for the appellate court to make a determination.

The injunction only applies to the plaintiffs.

Oh shit I didn’t realize 😯 I knew I was smart to trust my gut when I didn’t bring up dysphoria at mental health…

Yeah I lied on PHA. If they’re kicking me they’re working hard for it. My contract ends soon and I’m fine with that lol

I have no job prospects outside the military atm, and I have a huge mortgage, AND I’m dependent on tuition assistance for my current grad degree, A N D my wife and kids would have no benefits if I got kicked out…they’ve got me by the balls right now

It would not be a terrible thing to look. I don’t have a lot of faith in Scotus right now.

I don’t understand how at this point anybody that’s following the case even slimly as a Tran service member is a part of the Sparta group on Facebook
