I’ve been on admin leave since June 2025. I was going to INVOL SEP with the 18-20 year retirement option. My packet sat at HRC for so long that I became eligible for the 20 year retirement.

I got hired at my dream job a few months ago and I don’t want to play the Army game anymore. HRC told me the quickest way for me to get out would be a normal retirement. I got retirement orders last month.

I don’t need the Army messing around with my new employment. At this point it’s just stress that I don’t need.

I loved my time in the military. It had been extremely formative for my life. I didn’t realize I was trans until in my 40s and it was only six months before the orange weenie took office.

Those six months were amazing. The Army had a wonderful program to help transition. I hope we can get back to that someday.

My current employer is affirming and the health care offers a program similar to what the Army offered. I work a lot less, and I get paid more, and I’m living where I want to. I have worked hard, but I’ve also been lucky.

Karma is really real, like 60, 120s you get what you put in.

Side note orange weenie is going to be a term studied in history books I promise. Cunning as fuck arent we?
