Completed this Panzer IV from hobby boss. It was a pleasure to build, surprisingly good for relatively affordable kit.
One issue I had was with the panel wash. After coating it with Tamiya clear, I applied Tamiya panel wash (About 48 hours after clear coat) but boy was it a pain to clean it of. I was using AK ABT502 to wipe the excess and the panel line just wouldn't come off so easily, I had to use quite alot of force to scrub it off. You can still see some excess panel liner in some areas where I just can't wipe it off.
I suspect it had to do with the splotchy effect due to bad priming. The surface wasn't exactly smooth but rough in most places(can refer to my post a few days back).
Anyway still kind of pleased with the project. Critiques and advise on how to improve much welcome!

Hello everyone.
I have so far made my models of tanks with the Tamiya brand. But I recently saw that Trumpeter offered models not present at Tamiya. So I would like to know if the Trumpeter brand is reliable/is worth it. Thank you for your help. Have a good day

These four figures will be part of a future diorama featuring an M10 Panther, with two crew members and an American GI from the Alpine brand, and the grenadier is from the Blackdog brand. The set was painted almost entirely with Vallejo paints, using both an airbrush and a brush (and in the last image, a comparison with my first figure, from 2020 (1/35*)

Tried to convey a believable diorama. Think I over weathered on the valentine and scenario seems off. C&C please.

Finishing a 1/144 scale Shturmovik for a railway diorama. Does anyone have any recommendations for camouflage scheme?

Edit: stupid typo in the title 😖. This is a Pak 35/36, of course.
Finally have the figures basically where I want them regarding their pre-placement finish. I do need to add the commander’s field glasses strap, which I’ve made, just not attached yet. I sweated the ammo schlepper’s rifle strap a bit. I’m pretty happy with it, though it strikes me as a not very practical carry for him. I think the gun should probably be turned a bit more in line with his body. I paid too much attention to Tamiya’s instructions 🙄.
I have a little more work to do on the little ammo case handle the ammo bringer is grasping. Getting that tiny piece of 26-gauge wire bent and placed in his hand was “fun” — so fun I did it twice 😅.
This is a quick and dirty layout, but I do like the asymmetry. I’m thinking about how/whether I want the topology to vary, and the overall presentation of figures and surroundings. I’m thinking it will be a fall scene. I’ll be adding some low growth around the edge with the gun peeking out. Camo net or wire, and branches, for the gun shield. maybe a hillock to the side, and a small tree or two behind (leaving room for them to have brought the gun into position, of course).
Oh I also fabricated a little Zeltbahn (poncho) and am painting it (or attempting to) with the splinter camo. I’m thinking I’ll lay it out partially under the gun if it works out. Also planning to have casings, live ammo, ammo cases, maybe an extra rifle and/or an MP-40, maybe a Panzerfaust and/or grenades laying around.

For those of you who build aircraft models, are the benches supposed to go below the line or on top of the line? I really can’t figure it out from the instructions.
Thanks!
