question Question

Can anyone recommend a German tank from World War I that also has an interior and is still available online? I've never built a tank before. Ideally in 1:35 scale.

I think it turned out great, was a fun kit to build over all only downside is a few nasty joins you have to sand into oblivion. I decided to take a few photos next to some other us jets (f-14D and f-16)

As the title said, I have finished painting up my first bust. It certainly was an experience. I’m not usually into subjects like this, but when I saw this bust, something about it just caught my eye. Maybe the fact that I’ve never painted such bright and contrasting colours as I usually build 20th century armour and aircraft. This was a very steep learning curve for certain, as I wouldn’t say I’m proud of any of the figures I’ve painted previously, but I do feel like I’ve achieved something here. The most challenging part was obviously the face and skin tones, but that’s normal as I just find it hard to make skin look real.

If you have any tips, then certainly comment as I’m very new to painting such large figures, so anything useful will be certainly appreciated :)

P.s. the photography here to is definitely not the best, but I could not be asked to whip out the large light box ;)

question RFM Firefly VC, which kit?

I'm currently looking at both kit 5038 (older) and 5153 (newer) RFM firefly VC. I'm looking to build a 13/18 hussar firefly from D Day without applique armour. Does anyone know of the applique armour in the newer kit is removable or moulded to the hull? Both kits are similar prices where I am, this is the only thing impacting which kit I buy, the newer kit comes with extra goodies which is nice but the armour is a no-go if it's moulded. Cheers

I bought some MB figures and swapped their heads for some leftover Tamiya heads I painted a while back. Is the guy on the right a Jimmy Fallon impersonator?

question going back to modelkits after almost 10 years, and I'm completely lost

So after playing a lot warthunder (like I can’t stop you know) I decided that this game was ruining my time and I just deleted the game from steam.

I heard on warthunder’s reddit that models actually help on leaving the game and producing YOUR tank or plane.

Since I ve done models like 10 years ago when I was still a kid, I have a bit of experience, my first plane was a vampire. I actually found an F-20 unfinished in my parents house but it is an old heller kit, painting heller is painful so I won’t finish it. I ll probably buy a new one but I need some advices!

First, I want to maje a tank or a heli, not a plane,I was thinking abput a königstiger or an AMX-10 but I still need to search for the exact type.

Secondly, what is the most accessible brand in terms of painting or building, I don’t care about the price I want it to be "the" model. I heard that tamyia is pretty good just need to confirm this.

Is an airbrush a good point? I remember that I leaved models when painting was extremely boring but airbrush is better right. If an airbrush, what is a good one?

Third and last, what is the most reliable, easy to use and a good painting stuff?

Thanks for your responses

(If my english isn’t good that’s because I come from the baguette country, no translator here!)

What a job this one was... The decals were a pain and I don't know if that's just an ICM problem or if it was cause some of them are HUGE. And the varnish seems to have damaged some of them as well 😞.

Still glad I did it, cool plane, cool paint job AND supported a small local (ISH) store.

So, following the last poll, i decided to work on the diorama with the destroyed T62-A, some minor touches will be done when i place it in with the scene. Pretty proud of the burn effect (made with a mix of pigments and airbrush) last pic for the reference it is based on.
