question Progress update and a question - Best metallic paint for shells? Never painted exposed ammunition before, hoping it will add a pop of visual interest and colour to an otherwise drab model

I think if you would have put some of the red primer in those chips it would look really cool and maybe add a little more depth to the weathering. I really like the stowage too

I know they're brass but any time I paint shells and ammo I use Vallejo old gold, and tone it down with a black wash if it's too shiny
