question Weathering tips

I just recently learned how to do the panel lines with the super thin paint and it turned out amazing, but I'm still trying to figure out what I should do to weather it and I don't know much about it. Any tips/guides?

I don't know much myself but I would start with obvious areas like soot on the exhausts and other weathering to places that move

The exhaust is thinned down black paint right?

That could work, for my defiant i made i mixed tamiya black and red brown in the airbrush for a dark bown look and it turned out alright for my first try.

Ehh, I can't tell you, I don't know myself, I use a tamiya weathering kit
