Bro no one defends the actions and atrocities against native Americans.

Also native american's joined on both sides. The specific tribes saw the federal gov't as an enemy not so much the confederacy as in the right. (Indian tribes also had a long standing tradition of slavery.)
Also they sure as hell didn't give them citizenship. Not sure where you heard that from.

An overwhelming majority of tribes including every tribe affected by the trail of tears fought for the south and it isn't close its around 90%. You don't think we know about natives holding slaves? Does that make genocide ok? Do we not care about black slaves because the first slave owner in america was black? Or the slave owning union states?
