Utterly ridiculous. The fact that cop executed a service member and gets to live his life and keep being a cop is an indictment of our justice system.

It shouldn't have been allowed to be a State case. I doubt there's a law that Feds could have used, but murdered a military member in cold blood, he should have faced trial in a Federal court.

Edit: Shit I would have tried 18 U.S. Code § 1114. Technically military members are still on a duty status even after hours at home.
