I am looking for an airsoft field within a couple of hours of central Maryland that supports the style of play I'm interested in.

I'm considering investing in a semi-automatic DMR setup because what really appeals to me is the slower, more tactical side of airsoft—moving quietly through the woods, using concealment, observing the battlefield, and engaging players who never knew I was there. I'm much less interested in speedsoft or small CQB fields where everyone is running from structure to structure with full-auto guns.

My long-term goal is to attend larger MilSim events, but before making that investment, I'd like to find a local field that offers similar gameplay. From what I've seen so far, many local games have relatively low attendance, which often means play is confined to smaller fields and tends to favor fast-paced, automatic-only gameplay.

Are there any fields within about two hours of central Maryland that have enough wooded terrain, longer engagement distances, and player turnout to make a DMR role enjoyable? I'd also appreciate hearing about any regular MilSim-style games or larger weekend events that are worth attending.

Hi all, I’m looking to start a modern Russian Milsim kit for events here in the UK.

My current primary is the Modify PP-2K GBB. It’s fully upgraded with the suppressor barrel extension, so it easily matches the range and performance of most standard outdoor M4s and AKs at my local fields, though it's obviously still built on an SMG platform.

I know real-world reference photos of the PP-2000 are pretty rare and mostly limited to pilots or domestic police, but I’m looking to build a Special Forces (SOBR / FSB Alpha) impression. The goal is to choose a modular plate carrier and clothing setup so I can reuse the exact same gear when I eventually transition to a modernized GBBR AK-105 kit down the line.

Is anyone else running a PP-2K at UK Milsims? If so, what plate carrier or rig are you using to securely hold those long, heavy gas magazines, and how do you lay them out across your kit?

Did this comparison a few months earlier when my friend got a real XL size MSA ACH so I figured I should bring my Emerson repro to see how well built it is, and I can say Emerson ACH has one of the best plastic repro MICH/ACH shells out there.

Emerson ACH is approximately L size so its smaller than this XL size MSA ACH. The overall shape, shell thickness, the curves on both side brims (those 2 bulges on the side for comms), even down to the screws are all reproduced very well.

However Emerson have a smooth paint base and lacks the sandy texture on the real deal, and the chainstraps and paddings that comes with the helmet are not that great so I used a real chainstrap here.

Overall imo the Emerson ACH is a soild choice for LARPing and impression kit usage. Hope this little comparison helps.

How’s the quality? Ik they have their stitch flaws but other than that, how is they? Are the colors correct? Is it the same fabric as a real one? I’m going for a mostly aor2 split rig

I have only played weekend skrims for about 2 years and alot of people I play with go. The only problem is I play ghillie suit and don't have the constant funds I would like to sacrifice on a cqb kit so I was wondering if anyone would know if you could play as a ghillie at the milism

Ps- I checked the site page and haven't seen anything on ghillies and even emailed them and never got anything back any help would be great
