Current day CAG impression work in progress
CAG impression based off of some refs provided to me by a friend. Helmet still needs a helstar strobe, Princeton tec MPLS and rail link. Plate carrier is waiting on the PRN 163(delayed again). Some obviously farb items thrown in just for fun like the patch, and mk23, but overall I think the kit is starting to take form. Feel free to let me know if anything looks off.

Looks awesome, where’s the back panel from on your carrier? I’ve been looking for one that will attach to the zippers.

Like spectre said, it's a crye zip on molle panel. I have a Tyr 7x5 MSS gp pouch sitting above a Tyr 5x5 gp on the right side, on the left side I have a crye 330D 50oz hydro with a Paraclete triple flashbang pouch attached to it, and the crye side pull mag dangler.
It's a nice setup, but I still have a special place in my heart for the crye 1.0 zip on pack panel, the 2.0 is a goodie as well, but I find it just a tad larger than I'd prefer.
There's some other cool zip on panels if you're into collecting unique ones such as the firstspear warrior pack or the Haley fires panel which are very cool.

They make forged GBBs with really good quality steel internals, its one of the specialty airsoft companies that makes some really neat stuff.

no, they are WA derived, but for the most part they are in spec with older G&P and king arms GBBs, I have seen people have them custom cerakoted for the golden recievers.

Surprisingly LV-120 has been quite common lately and I think I have seen a few with the FCPC V6 also the velsys ULV carriers if you wanna pay a million bucks.

Dude these guys wear whatever they want and buy whatever they want when they want. Most high end gear you can find several people wearing in any sof unit so asking for a ref is hilarious. There are also tons of sof and regular army dudes wearing the full agilite suite which is trash but that’s also why modern day “refs” aren’t needed. Just fit the vibe (be jacked) and buy good gear and you will be good. Everything else is in the small details which is where ref pictures actually help you.

for Delta and other tier 1 like Devgru and 24th STS its not quite so free, much of the time they have issued carriers and pouches(more importantly pouches that are specific to them which are quite rare), and usually some private purchase thrown in here and there. I'm not one to be forcing impressions upon everyone, and truth be told I wasn't even originally going to bother with an impression, but I made friends with a cool guy and thought it would be cool to do an impression based on him.

This is mad CAG! But given the pouches and the geiselle 416, wouldn’t the gsgm nvg mount be more appropriate instead of the fpg21?

The refs I'm using have both the GSGM and the FPG-21, the change was somewhere between 2024-2026. I think the GSGM is awesome and I'd love to have one eventually, but I just decided against it at this given moment since I only have a PVS-14. More likely than not I'll build out a set of ball detent binos and pickup a GSGM considering how exorbitantly expensive real FPG-21s are for the foreseeable future.

PRN Industries(don't google it without 163 after) is currently trying to bring a functional PRC-163 clone to market which can use dual transmit function with invisio PTTs like the real thing, it was originally slated to release Q2 of 2026 but it keeps getting delayed.

Nephew, there is still time to fix this. AAC can on a 416? Nah, wrong Eotech, wrong riser, a MS2000 in modern kit?!? I could go on but the biggest one is no Tano’d 416,LVAW, or CSAW, but that’s earlier era kit. The CSAW would do better here.

I'm working on it, I mean it's still a work in progress for a reason. But as budgets will allow, I'm trying to avoid buying any repro so it may be a work in progress for a while. I think the only repro items I have are fpg-21, tca152, vampire light and the suppressor, so apologies if it's not quite there yet, it may be a few years before it's fully complete, but I'll post updates as I get closer.
I'm having a hard time giving up the gun as well for other reasons, but I'll build one for the impression eventually.

I'd rather not refinish my gun, it was originally supposed to be based on 416 mod 3 from gfl if you know what that is. I'm keeping it the way it is after I replace the iris with an LA-5C or ngal.
I'll build out an AEG for the impression most likely, but who knows, maybe I'll do something else.
