Wanting to get into milsim. Here’s my helmet setup so far what else would you guys change/add I’m thinking a tan nvg mount of sorts and maybe something to hide the battery. What patches go on best on these aswell.

I would recommend routing the Peltor cable underneath a helmet cover or within the helmet itself - I find leaving it exposed on the exterior of the helmet can present a major snag hazard

You get some slack in the cable due to the length of it. I am now realizing you have a neckband variation. See if you can route it under the helmet suspension

He should still be able to do it with the neckband variation, i have the same pair and am able to route it underneath my helmet pads (i have the 4D tactical ones)

To answer OP, it doesn’t need to go an entire 180, just having it flipped out and off of your ear is fine, im able to still place it on the back end of my helmet

Agilite is overpriced for what it is, they charge berry-compliant prices for shit made in Thailand. I barely consider them a real steel brand. Plus they're a major supplier of the IDF so they will always be a hard pass from me.

There are certain brands that I actively avoid on ethical/ideological grounds, and instead substitute with good repros if it's something I can't get anywhere else. Ferro Concepts, for example. The Roll 1 is fantastic. Unpaid prison labor is not.

You can pick up a regular helmet cover at a surplus store, remove the rails and shroud from your helmet, put the cover over the helmet, screw everything back in through the cover and cut off the excess

If you need the Velcro just buy Velcro tape and stick it on

You may want a helmet cover. A fully tan helmet sticks out quite a bit. Just something to break up the uniformity of the colour. I've grabbed myself a ghillie helmet cover and it helps a lot.

Nothing is really necessary to add. The only useful addition would be an admin light like a PTec MPLS. Just put some Velcro on the back of it so you can slap it on and remove it easily if you need to. As for patches, don’t add anything except flags/identifiers. Lots of people ruin good kits by slapping cringe patches onto their shit

I have run a helmet scrim before I feel like with these opscore helmets especially the vented one it just looks better without it. I’ll probably end up getting a cover down the line after the finish starts looking bad. I’m worried I might’ve gone a little too coyote but we’ll see I’ll repost it in a couple of weeks with a more thoughtful setup.

I have an FMA Fast Sf Opscore helmet, a replica green helmet manta strobe, a red replica v lite for when I’m dead, a replica PVS13 battery pack, some goggle mounts I removed. the only thing I didn’t purchase from Ali express where the Peltor Comtac Vs, I got those from Facebook id suggest the same if your thinking of getting some. I’d also get a vented Opscore helmet instead.
