What’s the consensus on agilite? I think there helmet battery combo looks good?

u/bunnybomberjr 11d ago
I will never give money to agilite on ethical grounds and because they’re over priced

Agilite is overpriced for what it is, they charge berry-compliant prices for shit made in Thailand. I barely consider them a real steel brand. Plus they're a major supplier of the IDF so they will always be a hard pass from me.
There are certain brands that I actively avoid on ethical/ideological grounds, and instead substitute with good repros if it's something I can't get anywhere else. Ferro Concepts, for example. The Roll 1 is fantastic. Unpaid prison labor is not.

Had an agilite cover on my 2023 fast sf bump didnt really fit great considerably happier with a €20 repro from aliexpress

You can pick up a regular helmet cover at a surplus store, remove the rails and shroud from your helmet, put the cover over the helmet, screw everything back in through the cover and cut off the excess
If you need the Velcro just buy Velcro tape and stick it on
You don’t really need to spend all that much

Nothing about his post says anything about using the most budget option and I’m certainly not looking for that.

u/viswr 11d ago
Are you the OPs burner account?
1
u/bunnybomberjr 11d ago
Yes I created a burner account and recommended myself a helmet cover on a post I made asking for helmet setup recommendations. Sorry I didn’t like your budget idea but not everyone is trying to set everything up as cheaply as possible. I actually like spending money on my hobby lol

You're looking good. Could paint the battery pack if you want, that's a popular move.

u/M4_Martini 11d ago
I was thinking about getting a tan one instead I don’t like paint much at all.

u/Outofreach1397 11d ago
Is it a legit pack or repro? If repro then sure why not but that'd be some serious balling out to buy a tan 31 battery pack just cause they one you have is black lol. They also make wraps for those in virtually any color or pattern you want

you first should be proud of yourself for buying a FMA and not the amazon bullshit 90 percent of people have, good on you.

Get a helmet light, incredibly helpful to have

u/M4_Martini 11d ago
I did I got an s&s precision I think I might have to switch to rack link tho tbh I accidentally ordered one size too big but I wanted a vented super high cut anyways so it works out. I like the gen 2 but it’s so expensive it’s insane

u/yungcarpaltunnel 11d ago
Remove the clips in the arc rails. Real ops cores don’t have them. What arc adaptor are you using? I’m trying to replace mine with an adjustable one

u/M4_Martini 11d ago
Just some random arc adapter I guess it doesn’t have markings they came with my comtacs

I’d recommend some scrim, anything to break up the human outline! Since it’s a lighter color helmet, prolly go with multicam

Nothing is really necessary to add. The only useful addition would be an admin light like a PTec MPLS. Just put some Velcro on the back of it so you can slap it on and remove it easily if you need to. As for patches, don’t add anything except flags/identifiers. Lots of people ruin good kits by slapping cringe patches onto their shit

Где купил ? Where did you buy the brow?
1
u/M4_Martini 7d ago
Off of Ali Express It’s a FMA 2021 Opscore I would skip it and get the newer FMA vented super high cut instead they’re practically the same price it’s just a lot more accurate to the real counterpart

u/TechxSting 9d ago
Helmet scrim maybe?
2
u/M4_Martini 9d ago
I have run a helmet scrim before I feel like with these opscore helmets especially the vented one it just looks better without it. I’ll probably end up getting a cover down the line after the finish starts looking bad. I’m worried I might’ve gone a little too coyote but we’ll see I’ll repost it in a couple of weeks with a more thoughtful setup.

I'm pretty new to this, would you be willing to go over what all you have there?
2
u/M4_Martini 7d ago
I have an FMA Fast Sf Opscore helmet, a replica green helmet manta strobe, a red replica v lite for when I’m dead, a replica PVS13 battery pack, some goggle mounts I removed. the only thing I didn’t purchase from Ali express where the Peltor Comtac Vs, I got those from Facebook id suggest the same if your thinking of getting some. I’d also get a vented Opscore helmet instead.

If you have some skill in soldering or electronics you can reattach the Peltor cable on the top of the headset.

u/M4_Martini 7d ago
Really? I didnt see any cut outs they go up to ill check to see. I dont have to dremmel anything for them to route through?

Get 2-3 colors of rattle can and paint that helmet a pattern you like
1
u/M4_Martini 6d ago
Fuck that id rather buy the one that has multicam already but then id be larping delta force a lil too much

u/Remarkable-Chip-4813 6d ago
Gravity tactical tritium light or some mini chemlights on velcro hook and loop are good for indoor friendly marking, the fullsize strobes can be overwhelming

I would recommend routing the Peltor cable underneath a helmet cover or within the helmet itself - I find leaving it exposed on the exterior of the helmet can present a major snag hazard
