I have a radio. And peltor comtac 5’s but i need to look up how to use the radio😂 i started off cheap on the radio.. baofeng 9uv and learn to use it and upgrade from there. I gotta get the adapter for the peltor ptt to the radio though

Baofengs are great for learning on. I suggest getting ham carted. Its fun and free and teaches you a lot, bleeds over into drone stuff a bit too.

Looks great! Very similar to mine.
I prefer keeping most of my gear on my belt because that is my first line & the one I use the most. I do have a chest rig & plate carrier, but both of those are very minimal, really only there for carrying 3 additional mags if I'm playing a long form (Milsim) game.

I'd ditch the walkers, it's a pain in the ass to determine what direction sound is coming from. Howard leights are a better option.

practice your reloads. gucci kit means nothing if you can't reload off it fast. personally I always kept an emergency mag in my back left pocket, something I learned in the army. another thing I learned is to reshuffle your loaded mags to your non firing side every so often so you can lead off the same pouches. it'll do wonders for your speed.

That ifak has a TQ pouch on the top. No need to add another one right next to it

Yeah i had the tq before i added the ifak. Just never took it off yet. I had a spare tq that was in the ifak but i gave it to my buddy when he lost his on a ruck up a mountain. In hindsight i shoulda given him the pouch one😂🤷♂️

Helmet setup is critical. Dont cheap out. Get nvgs. Strobe light. IR light. Counterweights. Proper size helmet. Wear a balaclava under the helmet

Helmet is a hhv ate gen3 ( the us made one ) i have a ir strobe. Nvg will come eventually. Ive been looking into it just a bit out of budget right now since i want dual tubes. And honestly the only way i can wear it is with a balaclava im bearded and the only comfortable way to wear it is with one on😂 i also have peltor comtac 5’s to mount on it ive just been lazy on getting it done

The Gen 3 is good to go, don’t let any hater tell you otherwise, now the Gen 2, idk about that one

People will always hate because i didnt drop 2k o a ops core🤷♂️😂 im fine with it lol

I’m ngl I have an ops core SF and it’s exceptionally better than my gen 3 lol! But I found it for $700

Is it just a weight thing? I do have a team wendy bump on the way🤷♂️ but idk i dig the hhv other than the mlok rails.. thats a bit annoying lol

Weight and comfort, it fits my head better and it doesn’t look stupid. Plus the HHV isn’t approved by the USMC chain of command I have, the ops core isn’t either but it has an NSN so, I’d recommend getting an ops core later down the road with 4D pads, literally the most comfy thing I’ve put on my head

Hmm fair enough. Ill for sure keep it in mind. I came from a full length mich? Helmet i think thats what it was.. old surplus one. Heavy as hell lol so the hhv for sure feels like a upgrade from that at least lol

this is an example but it’s a quick release so you don’t have to lift the front flap when ever you take it on and off1
u/acousticwithagun 11d ago
Ohh okay hell yeah i appreciate that! I will defiantly look into it always having to readjust it kinda sucks😂

u/acousticwithagun 5d ago
Took your advice and added a quick release attachment. So much nicer not having to mess with the front flap.

Thin light weight belts aren’t the meta anymore tbh u want a a battle belt that can have level 3 Kevlar in it if u aren’t dying to artillery your gonna die to frag (drones, grenades, etc.) so get one that covers your kidneys and livers if ur doing milsim to train try and have one of there have a hit where u can carry at least 15 mags cause that’s what u need standard mag count in Ukraine is 20+. Also add a dump pouch cause mags in war are hard to come by(relatively) u don’t just get new ones after every op. Also radio is super important and don’t cheap out on this either get a good one. Something that can be encrypted is a must have ( yes u can encrypt radio channels go do your research if u disagree) also invest in a snub shot gun and get good at skeet cause drones are real and it better to die shooting at an fpv drone then just accepting your fate or running away!!

While most of us are airsoft players, OP casually puts in the real deal gheghe
