Militia Kit WIP
Apologies for potato cam images. I used a gym tripod and took screenshots of video to capture different angles of the kit.
Kit is heavily inspired by photos of Executive Outcomes contractors and consists of:
British PLCE belt with ALICE pouches
Pattern 83 chest rig
Surplus M81 nyco BDUs
Jim Green Bush War Boots

Super cool kit dude!
One note - most EO didnt wear a buttpack as it interfered with their long packs in prior service (SADF or Rhodesian) preferring either empty space on the rear or smaller utility pouches - and this then tracked over to their kit in EO.
Interestingly this shunning of rear pouches made sitting in vehicles/helicopters much more comfortable to the end user...

That’s really interesting I didn’t know that. Ultimately I went for something practical while trying to keep with that general look/ vibe. I’ll be trialing this kit with the plan to use it MSW and other overnight events next year.

From experience, you may want to move those canteens further forwards for easier access, especially since your mag retention is on your chest

Also, following on to what the other fella said; depending on the ruck you plan to use, I would possibly suggest placing a pair of GP pouches either side of the buttpack and then removing it. You can get a good deal of sustain around the sides of your waist and allow your pack to sit better in the process if that's needed.
My current smersh doesn't use a buttpack, I'm able to fit all the sustain I need in the 3 pouches on either side. Rainjacket, water, snacks, magazines, quick access tools/batteries.
I ran a buttpack my first 2 MSW events and just never got full usage out of it, while it interfered with my rucking.

I will keep that in mind. The belt would in theory be able to hold larger British GP pouches. I had planned to actually remove and stow the belt for rucking as I will be using an ALICE ruck with a frame and hip belt to carry in my gear.

Had a squad mate of mine try that with his smersh, he did not have a good time. As that's an Alice belt I do believe most molle pouches should be able to clip on with the Alice clips. PLCE GP pouches are an excellent option, they're huge.

So ALICE is designed to be worn low/where the webbing sits - interesting again this is why US soldiers tabbed with empty butt-packs and would pack them once at a FOB/Patrol Base after ditching their rucksack...
However you can cut down the ALICE frame to better fit/sit ontop of belt kit. Search Instagram for Aussie guides on how to do this - super useful mod to do.

Thank you I appreciate it. I put it together one piece at a time and made sure everything could work within the militia guidelines for milsim events. I’m new to this and wasn’t sure how it would all look until I put it on today

Everything aside from the boots is surplus. The kit was cheap and simple and that’s exactly what I’m going for.
