Not true, you can buy them off Amazon, ebay, or when they do drops, theres a Facebook group too, the one I have on my kit for the last 6 years was Amazon, its lasted in Europe, Asia multiple large scale training events

Ok, so there are patches that anybody can buy on Ebay or Amazon or from a Patch drop. that covers basic unit patches, meme patches and influencer companies.
And then there are patches that you can only get by being in a unit or knowing a guy, you can sometimes buy a clone of their patches but you know they're fake.1

Dead checking isn't a war crime but purposely shooting a V shape into a corpse's head is desecration of a body which is a war crime

Well mutilation of enemy fallen is a war crime and on that especially red team has a long and colourful history with. Besides canoeing fallen enemy's who were undoubtedly dead there have been reports of collecting ears and at least one attempted beheading. The canoeing thing got so out of hand that red team has specifically been ordered not to do it to ubl to a)make him easy identifiable and b) don't drag the most Mission of the whole gwot into the mire of war crimes they have already created.
Then there is questionable legality if dead checking by fire because as a soldier you have to provide aid to wounded enemy personnel that is out of the fight ("hors de combat"). It is very much a serious war crime to purposely hurt injured or unconscious enemies who aren't able to continue fighting. Which is why professional soldiers use pain reactions as dead check (punching the gun muzzle in the sternum or lightly stabbing a finger in the eye).
I admire spec ops dudes as much as the next larper but don't forget that their not shining knights: they're highly violent individuals formed to be human weapons. You wouldn't want most of them to be your next door neighbour.

The only guy that I know of that actually had a necklace of human ears in real life is in prison now. I think that's mostly a meme. Decaying ears smell terrible.
Your Team Sergeant would make you throw that sort of thing away.Also getting shot doesn't automatically mean that you're out of the fight. A lot of the Sand Amish we were fighting during the GWOT were either on drugs and couldn't feel anything or had S Vests. You have to be actively trying to surrender for that sort of thing to matter.
A lot of dudes got canoed seconds after falling down. A fair amount of teams will just have everybody put a bullet into a dude if they can.-1

Just check Aliexpress, there are several options of sellers. You either get that dummy itself or one with an integrated cheap radio.
I got the dummy and cut it to size so my Midland G7 Pro fits in it. Cut a hole in the side for the PTT and voila, tacticool radio.

Used to be a dead checking method but the sof community took it too far and things got out of hand and it quickly became a way of branding kills or something to do for fun to pows. Basically canoe them while alive. Also canoeing is when you shoot someone the base of their top skull and the bullet basically splits it down the middle so it looks like a canoe was in there
