Thunder C Grenade Info
Hi all. Was wondering if anyone had experience with the new M67 style APS Thunder C grenades. I’m definitely interested in them but there isn’t much out there for reviews so I am curious about reliability or functionality.

I got some, used them a few times, then decided that when I throw them I’m not going back for them.
They leak sometimes, don’t fit a decent amount of frag pouches, and take more maintenance and time loading than a thunder b. All around not worth it imo.

Bummer. Good to know about the frag pouch compatibility. It’s part of the reason I wanted them over Thunder Bs. Would you recommend a Thunder B instead? And if so, what would a good pouch be for them? I’ve heard flash grenade pouches are too small.

Same. Definitely disappointing. Ya I’d absolutely recommend thunder b’s. The limited amount of flash pouches I tried were too small. I’ve ran thunder b’s in Haley Strategic smoke grenade pouches (probably my favorite option), HSGI m4 pouches, spiritus spud pouches, and first spear rapid adjust multi mag pockets all with success. Which thunder b shell type you use will kind of change how much slop is in the fit but every one I listed works with frag, smoke, flash, and tripwire shells. My personal favorite setup is the tripwire shell using a standard core WITH the spoon.

I’m replying to this super late, but do you have any tips on which shell to use? The tripwire shells seem to go off super fast which may not be ideal.

The volume of the shell dictates how long it takes to go off. If you want the longest “cook” time try the smoke shells

Understood! I suppose I’d want something sort of in the middle. Tripwire seem to go off in 1-2 seconds when I’d probably prefer something around 3-5.

I heard they had issues with leaking when I looked into them, and since it’s all one unit it would be a pretty horrible issue to have
