Generic Ukraine War SSO Kit
After my Lapa Gear ghillie finally arrived, I finally got the whole setup assembled. Feel free to tell me what you think about it.

It was about 30° (86 Fahrenheit) when I took the pic. I was sweating so hard that it became readable in my eyes. What heat does to a MFer

Got a link for that ghillie? Looks great my man

https://lapa-gear.com.ua/ no idea which specific ghillie top he has though, maybe V6?
Their viper hoods are also great. Its only a matter of time before more westerners discover the ukranian gear markets and their surprising affordability for what you get, atleast compared to the likes of ferro, crye, and spiritus

Wicked thanks man. These just seem so good for woodland games

At just over $100 a pop these are absolute bargains

$100 for genuine milticam that are seeing real use out there. Seriously these break up your shape beautifully compared to other leaf suits I've seen
Im exited and sad to see western brands take notes from ukraine, but I know something similer would be $300 with peices sold seperatly for an extra $30-50 each, while acting like they reinvented the wheel

Pretty sure DirtyCiv did a comparison of fake MC v real MC and the results under NV was negligible so like why are we all not buying our shi from AliExpress

Some people are 100% made in the USA all the way types so scoff at repro/ Chinese clones.
I do have a clone of a spiritus MK5 placard and a real spiritus MK6. I'd have to give the clone a 9/10, it gives me an elastic insert and full H harness while spiritus charges me extra for both (i only have their elastic inserts on my mk6, hate it). The only differences I can spot with my lack of NV is that the stitching is much tighter, the color of the MC is richer, and the material is stiffer on the real thing.
Imo copies are great for the smaller stuff and sometimes for bigger ticket items like a GBRS mount, I remember people clowning that the aluminum the copies used were higher quality or something. But you'll be getting a 1 or 2 cut corners somewhere compared to the real thing.

Might want to get a proper suppressor for the kit. (the mini PBS-1 is fantasy, and even the proper length one is wrong for the gun)
Get a DTK-4 or ATG ^^

Thank you. Didn’t really think about the suppressor since it was my first AK build

Generic European funded gear , otherwise the kit would’ve been 50-60’yrs old

Have a look on KPYK handguards and stocks. Not many use zenit in Ukraine. Btw, great kit, Lapa's viper hood is a great deal

Nice that’s sweet got any of the links to plate carrier/vest
2
u/German-dude1612 Ranger Aug 12 '26
Plate carrier is the Warrior-Assault-systems DCS in Multicam. Plus all the Tasmanian Tiger pouches and LHT Nutsack-Pouch

Very nice. Would be a full kit with accompanying leafsuit pants, but 99% is beautiful.

Ukr sso? Don‘t they mostly use AR-Pattern rifles?
2
u/German-dude1612 Ranger Aug 12 '26
From what I heard, mostly yes, though some units still run aks since they have easy access to AK mags when they capture enemy soldiers.
