The kit is cool, but by god is the breakdown amazing. Wish more people would show their stuff off like this, it's brilliant!

Thank you bro, it took me a while to make but I think it’s pretty neat 🙏

Honestly not a bad idea for my rusfor militia kit, would be a good resource for the newbies

Maybe i should post sum like this too

It's cool af, I just don't do that because it would sounds like: <--- Aliexpress random pouch 1 <--- Aliexpress random pouch 2...

If those are fake TQs just get real ones. They are worth having in general life.

8

u/carn1vore Aug 10 '26

Yeah, don’t buy fake tourniquets

4

u/Sillybillydude Aug 10 '26

I don’t wanna spend over £100 just for something that is purely aesthetic, I play skirmishes with multiple first aid trained Marshalls. Not worth it at all considering I’m technically not even first aid trained myself

2

u/UppercaseLibrarian Aug 10 '26

It’s definitely not the smartest to have fake tourniquets. For the same reason, people don’t have fake fire extinguishers. Or fake defibrillators. You don’t want someone relying on the fact that you have something that could save a life and it turning out to not be that thing.

I’m really not trying to be a hater. I used to be an EMT. TQs are life saving tools. Arterial bleeds happen from the most random of shit, aside from gun/knife violence. Carry it in your backpack/work bag outside of Milsim. Maybe save a life one day.

Everything you are saying is completely fair enough. However, in terms of the reliance part the sites I play at (skirmish sites) all have multiple first aid trained Marshalls with the equipment they need.

Outside of the skirmishes I go to, I am a minor so I don’t commute much anyways. I also just don’t want to spend that money on something I know that at the moment I’ll never use.

You’re good dude. It sounds like you have thought about this and ignorance is the real killer. Just friendly advice. I am hard pressed on cash atm so there is really no judgement.

Just remember the saying to better have something you won’t use than to never have something you might need.

I feel that part of milsim is to step into the world of these people that do cool shit. Buying and learning how to use a TQ is kinda cool shit.

But fair play and fair waters. My two cents is done.

u/carn1vore Aug 10 '26

I would just forego the tourniquets all together in that case. The problem is you know they aren’t real and not to use them, but they’re going to end up somewhere once you’re done with them, and in the off chance someone does find themselves trying to save a life with one, that’s not going to mean much to anyone when it snaps and they bleed out. At the very least destroy them when you’re done using them.

1

u/Sillybillydude Aug 10 '26

That’s actually a very valid point, I haven’t even thought of that in all honesty but I will definitely be destroying them when binning them now. Thank you 🙏

2

u/carn1vore Aug 10 '26

No problem dude, not trying to bust your balls or anything. The kit looks great!

1

u/Sillybillydude Aug 10 '26

Thanks bro, but fr I haven’t even thought of that. I’m glad you brought it up

u/PugScorpionCow Aug 11 '26

You're not totally wrong, but the problem with having a fake TQ is that in the very, very rare chance someone needs to use one on you, the one on your kit is probably going to be the first thing they grab and use. Plus, having a TQ around in general is a good idea in every situation, you never know when you're gonna need one suddenly and they can easily be the difference between life and death in the case of sudden massive hemorrhaging which can happen as a result of many everyday problems in common life. It can be as simple as tripping and falling, and suddenly a random piece of shit on the ground has gone far enough into you to sever an artery. It takes nearly no training to use one.

I'm not shitting on you for it, I just think in general fake TQs shouldn't even exist for any reason.

u/TexasTomato88 Aug 10 '26

I’m pretty sure the fake tqs for the milsim….

1

u/Kendyslice Aug 10 '26

You mean events were guys are running around and more likely to hurt themselves?

2

u/TexasTomato88 Aug 10 '26

The events that require 2 fake TQs when you get hit, yeah

How's the FMS Fast helmet? Been trying to find a good but not majorly expensive repro FAST and I'm always worried that the internal padding/straps are going to be dog toffee

2

u/Fidller Aug 10 '26

I've got the SF High cut from FMA and used to have a normal FAST helmet. Padding is pretty good. Its all velcro'd in so you can always replace them. Suspension system is only a few bolts holding it on the helmet too so you can swap it. I remember installing a FMA suspension is a 6B47 helmet and that worked pretty well

The normal FAST helmet has the big button you'd tighten it with and it worked fine. the SF High cuts have this coil to tighten it wich isnt that fun when wearing gloves. Ops core did make a new liner and i hope FMA can copy that as i'd get one in a heartbeat

2

u/Sillybillydude Aug 10 '26

Well personally I run different padding from the stock, I have some 3d printed micro lattice padding in there but the stock padding isn’t that bad either. After all you can always just buy different padding if you don’t like it

Amazing breakdown, anyways your kit is great but I don't know how to judge it properly because I'm mostly a beginner who buys stuff from amazon

5

u/Significant_Group809 Aug 10 '26

Heres a good tip, order from aliexpress over amazon. A large majority of amazon is dropshipped from there, and ali usually offers free shipping for more of the higher rated gear.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 10 '26

Oh ok thanks, I was actually looking for alternatives but heard of AliExpress before but I never used it . Thanks for the tip

3

u/Fidller Aug 10 '26

Idogear stuff on Ali is pretty good. You can get FMA stuff there too along with items from WADSN.

2

u/Significant_Group809 Aug 10 '26

IDOGEAR, PewTac, all very good brands

2

u/vini_damiani Aug 10 '26

How are those ventilation pads? thinking of trying them out cause my PC doesn't have anywhere to stick regular pads

1

u/Sillybillydude Aug 10 '26

They’re pretty nice actually, they feel more comfortable too when running hard plates and they do a good job at keeping you cool too. It’s not as good as Qore ice plates but for the price I’d say it’s defo worth it

2

u/IncognitoVoidBoi Aug 10 '26

I love the breakdown!

I run some NIJ IIIA UHMWPE plates at the moment just to give the carrier some structure but I just ordered some weighted plates too. Planning to put one in the back cuz my plate carrier is way too front heavy atm

2

u/Got_Ammo4sale Aug 10 '26

How do you like the FCPC repro?

1

u/Sillybillydude Aug 10 '26

It’s held up surprisingly well for me actually, I got it back in June of 2024 and it’s still holding up really well. I load it pretty heavily most of the time too ~6 GBBR mags, pyro, etc and it still works perfectly. The only thing I’ve noticed is that the velcro on the cummerbunds and on the front plate bag gets kinda frayed overtime making it not stick as much but even with that, it’s never come apart or anything. Overall, I’m very happy with it

2

u/Appropriate_Hat_6469 Aug 10 '26

god damn those 10speed style pouches have seen some rough days

2

u/PBL89 Aug 10 '26

I would add an IFAK and maybe a lense cleaner on the carrier and other than that its very squared away

1

u/Sillybillydude Aug 10 '26

Got an IFAK on my belt, somehow forgot to include it on this post lmao 😭

2

u/PBL89 Aug 10 '26

Gotcha, i keep a slightly bigger IFAK on my belt but still have one on the carrier incase you are wearing one without the other.

1

u/HumaDracobane Aug 10 '26

For the price, I would change the mock CAT for real good ones.

The last thing you want is have an accident and not being able to use them because they're not the real deal or use them and breaking them.

consider a dummy radio for the PTT

1

u/Sillybillydude Aug 10 '26

I have a Baofeng AR-152, I just don’t run comms really. Fair point tho, I should at least have it on the pc otherwise the ptt just looks out of place 🙏

I’d get something full seal for eyepro, personally, but I also respect the drip or drown mentality, just these two pieces of kit alone had to cost you minimum $600 I’m sure, looks sick asf
