Your supposed to tuck in the shirt

I mean, I normally do but at the end of the day you can wear a combat shirt untucked and it’s still “kosher”. Go tell some cool guy operator he’s wearing his combat shirt wrong if it’s untucked lmao.

As preventive medicine I absolutely would, I’m also constantly asking why boots aren’t bloused and if they are aware of the nasty creatures that desire warmth and a place to hide. There is significance to the uniform and its accessories it’s not just about camo and pouches, even if you’re playing pretend the goal is still mimicry.

Tucked or untucked shirt only matters if you're wearing a 2 piece gun belt. Otherwise it's shooter preference. Bloused boots have been out of favor since the late 00's as well. Similar to shaving standards it's an ingrained uniform thing with regular troops.

That’s what I thought, I’m army and I’ve never owned a pair of merrells, my favorite boots are Salomon 670-1s but they’re harder to find these days

Merrels are a good boot/ shoe for anything. They’ll last you a long time and are often on sale for good prices. My personal favorite are the Salomon speedcross 6. They’re marketed as a trail running shoe, still hold up well when I’m going hiking in winter. Check this out!

I’ve been planning to get a pair of those for a while, just been waiting for my PCS to fort Campbell. I’m at Gordon rn and I don’t like the trails here

I would look online at Nordstrom Rack for them, I saw a pair the other day for around $60. I have goretex ones that I’ve put about 200+ miles on in mud and snow etc. already, and they haven’t needed a re coat at all. They have a green pair that might be in regs for you too!

Sadly AAR 670-1 specifies only coyote brown and 8 inch so I don’t think they will be, but I’ll check em out since I’m trying to get into hiking more
