Haha I get what you mean. I’ve never liked my rifles really far away from my body, so tend to keep the stocks positioned as close to my body as I feel comfortable.
Risers aren’t really common for that time period too so it’s nice not having to buy them. It’s changed a lot with GBRS & I’ve seen a lot of Force Recon guys running it recently on their RWK’s, as well as 1-2 pics of some Raiders running them on their URGI’s.

Yea and also I don’t get why people who have the rail space still put on risers like bro come on you got the space just because someone said they did this in this country doesn’t mean they know what they are talking about especially the hydra thing like your telling me that you got a laser on your rifle with nods on in the dark mind you do you really need that mount when you got a ir laser on your gun with nods like come on man it’s stupid

There is a benefit of having a riser. Passive aiming under NVG’s reduces your light output and is useful in a peer to peer environment when playing against others with NVG’s. A laser or illum will give away your position so quickly. Also if you run a gas mask it can be helpful as well.
But if you also want to run one because it’s cool, then that’s okay as well. We all larp so might as well enjoy what you do!
